**LA LAKERS THREAD** Sitting on 17! 2023-2024 offseason begins

You guys remember about a year ago when H*m had AR & Dlo coming off the bench at the same time?

Kawhi Leonard came back before Vando :lol

Aye but Fr if/when he comes back and takes cam’s minutes, that’s going to be tough. I loved watching Vando play even tho he can’t shoot. Bro plays with so much energy, hella active hands, great instincts and he’s always in the passing lanes and getting crucial rebounds/steals/deflections.

I’m really juiced for AD/DFS/Vando lineups.

Vando + DFS + Christie give us our best 3 non-Ad defenders since Caruso/KCP/Green.

One thing I will say is I think Rui will regress off the bench since he gets so many back cuts with the starting unit.

Once the Lakers get Valanciunas or Kessler, the starting lineups should look like this, to have the best roster balance between the first and second units:

AR
DFS
Bron
AD
JV or WK

I’m sure Redick will know what to do if he’s the intelligent coach I think he is and truly wants to maximize his personnel to reach that championship level.

360 stuff at the rim

It’s criminal AD hasn't had 1 DPOY yet.

He does EVERYTHING ELITE on the defensive end, slides his feet, has quick hands, incredible instincts/anticipation, impeccable timing, doesn’t get into foul trouble and rebounds EVERY NIGHT!

His whole career like this! Insane!

I think since he's such a nice offensive player it overshadows just how good he is as a defender.

Who's a better defender 1-5 than Anthony Davis?

Looking at the schedule for the rest of the month. Not only is it home heavy, but the games are spaced out. No back to back until the end of the month at the start of the East Coast trip (Charlotte-Philly). Wouldn't mind giving Bron rest vs the doormats on the schedule either.

-Center and third star is not a priority
-They want to see everyone back healthy this month before making a trade
-Walker Kessler likely isn't available
-Lakers aiming for more perimeter help

Woike needs to get woke if he thinks the Lakers aren’t going after a Big

This below is the biggest piece of hogwash I’ve seen in a long time from a Lakers beat writer not named Buha

Hopefully Lakers fans aren’t dumb enough to fall for the recent and upcoming WEAK SCHEDULE like Woike has. We ain’t playing any real contenders in the next 3 weeks so clearly the Lakers’ lack of a center won’t be as magnified against the weak xxx teams the Lakers have been and will be playing in their upcoming schedule before the trade deadline

I have been saying it for 3 years, if they fail to beef up the front court and fail to add another big and continue using AD at center 100% of the time, the Lakers will Never win the title.

I feel like this is the closest we’ve been to a complete team since the bubble. We’re missing a couple pieces to make us contenders. If we can get them via trade, I like our chances. If not, next year is our last hope with this iteration.
