I wonder what plan they showed Kobe before he signed
They probably learned to do bs presentations from Mike Brown

Nash to me last Thurs: “I’ve been ready to play. But they want to see these guys & evaluate them for next year."

He might be playing now that Farmar is down.

Also, missed this little gem from earlier:

Dave McMenamin [emoji]10004[/emoji] @mcten
Nick Young on the trash talk he hears from Kobe: "I don't talk to players on teams that are 20 games under .500"

I can't believe people are defending 'Antoni.

Also whoever said to punt the next two seasons is a GENIUS.

FINALLY, Kobe needs to shut up before Mitch panics to please Kobe and trades our first round pick for someone we could sign in a year anyways. Or worse, overpay for overrated Deng.

He is a good coach.

And I was the one who said that.

Do I get credit for throwing it out there months ago? 8o

Yeah, Nash said he was approached around ASW about stepping aside and letting Farmar and Marshall get time to develop and get evaluated.

Hopefulyl Nash starts playing so he could have a career ending injury.  Can we waive him for medical purposes and not have it count towards our cap or something like that?

This should be fun:
@ShawnFNBA Spoke with a former Lakers insider & now NBA exec last week. Person said biggest problem is Kobe. Players dont want to play with him.
@ShawnFNBA Kobe is known to be very manipulative, 2-faced, & not trustable. Person also told me a bombshell about Kobe's hand in the Fisher trade.
@ShawnFNBA In terms of the Lakers F/O: "Turbulent". Jim Buss has a very shady inner circle of friends who advise/help him, but Kobe is the bigger issue
@ShawnFNBA @M3XRFW I owned a company that managed many athletes including Fisher, also consulted for former players union exec..dont have to believe me
Nothing too surprising, but the Fish tidbit intrigues me. 8o

What was the "BOMBSHELL"?

We got Sessions(CLE) and Hill (HOU) for DFish. That was a great trade back then. :lol

Added Bryant in his ESPN 710 Radio postgame interview: "I think I was shocked just like everybody else ... We've always been close and we'll continue to be close."

However, Bryant did not hide his irritation when asked when he was informed the Fisher trade had occurred.

"Don't start no (expletive)," Bryant said. "I'm not even going to answer it. Everybody would be too shocked."

Lakers owner Dr. Jerry Buss did in a statement released by the team.

"I want to express my deepest gratitude to Derek for everything he has meant to this organization over the years," Buss said in the statement. "Few who have worn the Lakers uniform have done so with as much class as Derek, both on the court and in the community. From his famous 0.4 shot in San Antonio to his clutch performances in the Finals against Orlando and Boston when it mattered most, Derek will always hold a special place not only in my heart, but in the heart of Lakers fans everywhere."

You basically have Dr. Buss saying "thanks for everything sorry i traded you but we have to move on" and Kobe not knowing WTH happened.

Somehow its Kobe's fault?

These "sources" :lol

So, Kobe gets huge extension. Praises Mitch and Jim both. Months later, he's no longer talking to Mike D'Antoni, pushing for Mitch to do work THIS summer, and is the main problem within the org of getting players to come to LA?????

We have someone workin overtime around the organization these days. :lol

According to Chad Ford of ESPN Insider, the Lakers have a current Duke forward as their fourth-best prospect:

"The Lakers like Embiid and Wiggins, but are also keeping their eye on Exum, who is working out with Kobe Bryant’s trainer, Tim Grover, in L.A. Parker probably ranks fourth on their list, followed by Randle."

Not liking the order of this list.

P.S answering this poll is making me hungry :lol

THAT.

I have NEVER said this would happen.

Nope.

*waits for "OK, after ALLLLLL these years, you take pride in JUST NOW being right? :lol "*

Like this is the first time we've heard something along the lines of this. :lol

*waits for "He's given EVERYTHING. He has a right."*

So when I say he doesn't move the ball enough, "That's not his job!", but when it's not his job to meddle in FO affairs, "It's his right!"

Got it. :lol

*waits for "Who doesn't want to play w/ him? Ariza loved him. Shannon Brown loved him. Nash accepts him."*

Like the list of players who have/had a problem w/ him starts and ends w/ Shaq. :lol

"Him and Shaq made up, anyways."

*thumbs up & a wink* Riiiiiight.

*waits for "Jesus, it's just a rumor."

It's always just a rumor when these stories come up. :lol

At any rate...

Like it was impossible to know back then that a jerk was a jerk, like social networking has JUST NOW... FINALLY... allowed us to get to know celebrities. :lol

*thumbs up and a wink* Riiiiiiiiight.

Keep deflecting all the criticisms against his attitude; all it does is amuse people when you try to say "Look, I know he's not perfect. I'm no stan; I'm not like those guys."

*thumbs up and a wink* Riiiiiiiiight.
