Bend_The_Knee Bend_The_Knee I randomly thought of this today post and admittedly I was dismissive to what she typed, but this year I‘m respective to an adverse perspective. May you read this post below and share your thoughts on what she said please?
 
Not reading all that. Can you summarize?
-dominican woman reflects on black history month.

-was born in DR, but doesn’t feel connected due to growing in the states.

-felt she was “too light” and “too Spanish” to be black, and didn’t hear a rap song until 6.

-took some classes, learned about dr’s complex history of colonialism, colorism, and that there was more to being black besides slavery.

-saw her bro’s dna results.

-looked at her brother and father, had a epiphany.

-she’s now black and she’s proud.
