I'm no expert but the pattern on the ankle support is really off. If it has the OG insole, it should be colorful like the stitched patterns.
Also there should be speckles when the turquoise and purple meet. This has none whatsoever.

He also stated that he had them rejuvenated at a local shoe spot. So I'm not sure if that makes a difference or not

Still fake. I'm just doing a quick compare and contrast and it's small subtle differences stand out the most.
- The circle around the fuzzy jumpman on the tongue of the OG is supposed to be orange not yellow. The yellow circle is only found on the retro.
- The tongue looks short
- The bottom sole is not the same pattern on the real Aquas
-No additional stitching on the side accents of the shoe. Which is only present on the OG
