@ made more in China. Probably true though. So let them stay in China or resign with DEN. Dudes is obviously trying to get paid and there's obviously no love loss with Wilson since we traded him.

Only way we sign Redd, Evans, and Murphy is if we offer 2 of the 3 the vets min or split up the 2.5 mil amongst them, somehow get rid of Balkman (cuz I think he'd have more than 15 guys then).

Iverson? Gilbert before him.

Dudes like JR Smith don't care about championships..They just wanna make that money and stunt on the court..JR Smith always had the tools to be a 16-19ppg player if he polished his game and wasn't forcing up stupid shots..But because of his undisciplined play and bad basketball IQ, he was stuck being a bench player his entire career

we need a backup PF that can stretch the floor (Troy Murphy even though I have no idea why he got 0 playing time on the celtics) and another guard (hopefully Redd has something left in him).

Edit-bring Nate back
Barkley: Knicks have 'a couple issues'
Dec 15  5:49 PM ET

By Jared Zwerling
Charles Barkley loves the addition of Tyson Chandler, but he has two warnings for the Knicks this season: One, you better back up your center on the boards and with defense; and two, make sure your point guard plays within Mike D'Antoni's run-and-gun system.

The Chuckster made those comments on Thursday afternoon, during the NBA on TNT's first-ever webcast and media conference call, featuring the studio show's newest member, Shaquille O'Neal, and their regular crew of Barkley, Kenny Smith and Ernie Johnson. The Knicks lost out in acquiring Jamal Crawford and Shawne Williams, but Barkley said that a shooter shouldn't be their focus in free agency.

"The Knicks are going to be better with Tyson Chandler. I'm a big Tyson Chandler fan," he said. "But they've got a couple issues. If those other guys don't play defense -- I know Tyson Chandler is going to play defense and rebound the ball -- but those other guys gotta play defense and rebound the ball. Tyson Chandler's going to be in foul trouble all the time. To me, Mike D'Antoni's got a great system, but every point guard can't run that system. I didn't think Chauncey Billups could run that system at his age. He doesn't play that fast anyway. To me, rebounding, defense and their point guard situation is a lot more important than them having a shooting guard. Anybody is going to shoot in that system."

Free-agency update: Now that Crawford and Williams are off the table, the Knicks are zeroing in on defensive specialist Maurice Evans, who had a career-high in points last season (9.7 ppg) and shot 34.6 percent from downtown (one per game).
I know it's Barkley...

And we got Mike Bibby...

WE know they need a point guard.
THE KNICKS know they need a point guard.

The problem is there isn't a legit point guard out there that they can get, especially for the amount the Knicks have to offer.

Chuck's right. give me Kris Humps or Reggie Evans before any of the names mentioned up to date.

Troy Murphy would be nice, but i dont think i want my pf shooting 3s and not getting boards.

Nets sign Shawne Williams.

Nets sign Shelden Williams.

We should Kris Humphries and try to get T. Outlaw. How bout Leon Powe ?

The issue with the team is perimeter defense, and it starts with the PG....I can see Tyson getting in foul trouble often trying to over compensate...and then what?

This season will have some nice wins and some very frustrating ones, still a work in progress.

The Nets took bench players from a Knicks team that made the playoffs..The Knicks would be taking bench players from a Nets team that had no shot at the playoffs more than 20 minutes into the season

I refresh at 10, and get a pair of tickets, but the cheapest is $88.15 for 1 ticket...the Knicks don't deserve to price their tickets IN THE 400's no less that high.

They are pricing out their fans.

I'm livid.

Feel bad for the diehards.

^ dolan has let this renovation of the garden get to him... i remember him saying the tickets would increase 49% and it doesn't help that we got a solid team with two superstars... i could only imagine how much ticket prices would be if we got cp3

... i think this is why he was pushing so hard to get melo just to increase ticket prices

Im telling you.. you all gone know where you stand 2 weeks into the season. If Iman is playing PG you might take lumps, but its a +. If Tony Douglas and Landry Fields are keeping him off the floor its the same limited ceiling you had last year imo.
Truthfully, I wouldn't even put the guy at the 2.

No talk about Nate cuz Pringles hates Nate. Even if the FO went ahead and signed him he still wouldn't play
laugh.gif
and honestly given the pros Nate brings all in all he's still a lost cause. In my eyes he had a great chance on the Celts and blew it and couldn't make an impact in OKC.

Wouldn't be mad at looking at Gilbert now either given the talent left out there but that new start stuff isn't a great reason to come to NYC. I could easily see him being swallowed alive and I feel unless there's a drastic change and consistent motivation he's on his way to being a mental ******. Something happened to dude where he just doesn't have confidence in his shot. He's still relatively young and shouldn't be playing the way he does even after the surgery but when you couple that with the gun possession and being moved around so much, to being amnestied I know he's thinking "What happened?"

Anyway, I still like the idea of signing of Kris Humphries for cheap. Not Outlaw though. Rather stick with getting Redd and Murphy.

Apparently, our FO has a plan and recognizes our current weak spots and are working on fixing it.

Wait so you really believe Iman has that much potential where if he's in the rotation regularly that we might have a higher ceiling and it'd be better than having TD and Fields consistently in it?

I mean I'm no big fan of TD's game. Love the 3s hate just about everything else but given what I know Fields can bring to the game I'll definitely be focusing Iman on the practice tomorrow.

Steve Nash, Tony Parker, or Jameer Nelson will be our PG sometime throughout the season or summer

I wouldnt mind taking a look at Michael Redd. I used to be a fan of his game, but if he cant even walk what's the point?

I wouldnt mind Deshawn which is odd from me. He's a headcase and a tweener, but he can shoot treys and play defense.

I'm pretty sure Affalo is restricted too but yeah we might as well be broke to him anyway.
