Not really surprised Landry Fields is not the type of guy that lives and breathes basketball. Plus after his season makes sense he wouldn't want to be near a basketball or a gym for a while.

Im not even mad @ Landry having fun in the OFFSEASON. The NBA season isnt even over yet. But if he still messin around like this around August someone needs to slap this dude up.

Dude is an assclown but I applaud him for having fun. Having said that, I hope we ship his #+% out for a first founder (preferably mid 20s).

Looking ahead, the Knicks’ summer business really starts on June 13. That’s when they’ll know for sure if Jeremy Lin and Steve Novak will be eligible for Early Bird Rights, and that will give them a better sense of how much they can spend in the offseason.
If the arbitrator favors the players’ union, the Knicks will be able to re-sign Lin, a restricted free agent, and they’ll have an extra $5 million mid-level exception to use on a legit free agent. But because it’s highly likely the league will win the case, the Knicks will only be able to re-sign Lin to the mid-level exception of up to $5 million. And Novak, an unrestricted free agent, would likely re-sign for the bi-annual exception of $1.98 million. Either way, they’re both near-locks to return next season.
If the Knicks don’t win the hearing with the league, here’s the problem: Currently, the Knicks are about $6 million above the salary cap, which means they’re only about $9 million under the “apron.

I would love to have Gary Neal on this team. LOVE IT. Talk about a monumental improvement over Tony Bumass Douglas.
Also I when I think about Odom on this team and ppl's concerns, I really don't think Tyson is going to condone dude playing like %$*# on this team.

if the knicks were able to get bird rights on lin... id sign lin and get rid off novak... then use that 5 mil on ray allen and give him a 2nd year team option... then use the leftover money and keep jr... i really don't think novak is a huge asset if he can't shoot the ball... with good defense on him he is pretty useless...

I'm pretty ho-hum on Novak as well. His inability to create and come off screens really soured me. I wouldn't pay more than 1.5 for him.

Harkless is going top 15. No team can have enough shooters, i think we should retain him. Definitely not a top priority though, wouldn't be mad if he left, doubt he does though.

On another note. It seems like Ray Allen wants to sign with the Knicks, but I think he'll be asking for way too much money.
Jared Zewlering (sp?) is saying we should go after guys like Hinrich and Felton. I wouldn't mind seeing Felton back on this team, but no way he takes a bench role. After Woodson signing a long term deal with us, he seem set on starting Lin. I know, I know. This is Dolans doing.
