So what led you to a sneaker forum?

One of my best friends (who was/is a sneakerhead) introduced me circa 2001. I would only buy new sneakers during bball season, so he knew I didn't care like he did, but wanted to show me a funny thread in General or something...he then mentioned how "they" debate sports too. He's a Niners fan, so he was hating on some posts. Told me he doesn't post, but it's fun to read everything (and he doesn't so he's no one you would recognize). I started lurking at that point. I'd stop in from time to time as a leisurely read until I transferred from my JUCO to a University. I was in a weird place, literally and figuratively. I found solace in two things...football and NT. Since football only carved out a portion of my day, I created an extension of me; 651akathepaul. Born out of a rap lyric from a wannabe D1 basketball player/rapper from my Juco. It was a place that really started help define me before I up and left mid-semester by making a business decision. It was one of the last things I remembered in my last week there, so I used it.

Before your boy manned up, broke out of his funk and made well with his decision, NT helped fill the time in between. Started posting that February and never really looked back. Honed my debate skills, learned things, get to talk sports without hurting feelings of "real" people and I'm still here today.

More than you asked, but I felt like tellin'.

I'll see if I feel like fighting bots that day  harder since my girl doesn't work Saturdays anymore. I got 3 pairs in my closet DS. Let the hype get me :smh:
Hearing it’s like a massive GR this time lol
Imma see if I can get through the Confirmed app since I live in LA

. had another screenname before i made lakersman3000 , it was lakersman2000 dont even remember when i made it.
other then new ball shoes or running shoes when they wear out i buy shoes once a year. ill buy 3 or 4 shoes at the beginning of the year and wear them throughout the year . i couldnt care less about clothes or shoes anymore. if it wasnt for the cool peoples in s&t i wouldnt be here anymore. .

was never into shoes before i got to college. owned a pair of adidas superstars and some chuck taylors. met my now best friend freshman year and the disease hit. i remember always just walking into his dorm and he'd be on some website with a black background and red and white font

never went to the shoe forums. headed straight to general and S&T though. and after a couple years stopped posting in general completely.
Basically the same with me but was into shoes just could afford Jordan's but has every other shoe growing up. Got my first job in college it was a wrap. At one point I had over 250 pairs of shoes smh.
