Ok question here...

What would be the point of chainging the past (aka what Faraday is about to do)

If Oceanin 6, sawyer, juliet etc etc can't go back to the present(2007-2008 ##%)??
 
Faraday is that dude

detonating a hydrogen bomb so he can stop all of Lost from occuring?

if he succeeds then what will happen to them...

if the energy is destroyed...
then their plane will not crash...
meaning they wont ever get to the island...
meaning they wont ever leave the island...
meaning they wont ever go back to the island...
meaning they wont have gone back to destroy the hydro electric energy...
meaning that all of the events of lost will occur just as scheduled...
meaning that them destroying the energy wont have done anything in actuality
meaning that no matter what you do, the timeline is going to correct itself in someway

EDIT: i just knew that Widmore was Faraday's father... i just had that weird feeling since the beginning of this episode...
 
who just leaves their son in a time like this???
