My father refused to get me the Ndestrukt solely because of the association with Rodman.

Man, I loved Rodman because he seemed so Punk rock to me. Colored hair, tats, piercings, he was one of my favorites players based on aesthetics alone. See didn't copy his attitude though. My younger brother did haha.
MJ was the reason I actually even picked up playing basketball. I was strictly a soccer player until I was like 10 or 11, but I remember seeing the 89 dunk contest as a kid and falling in love with Mike because he flew like a plane (as a kid, I was totally enthralled by flight and fighter jets). My mom played in high school so she ended up teaching me how to shoot and then later would coach me and my younger brother for quite a few years when we played PAL and rec league.

Word. I don't have any of the Nike Air pairs except for the Banned 1s from the outlet drop back in 2011. Already had all of the pairs with the Jumpman and didn't feel like buying with NA was necessary.

This will be the first pair of sneakers I have bought in what seems like ages.
I bought some Sakura Janoskis and dunks for my trip to Japan a couple years ago and they have been around the world a couple times at this point. But I usually just wear my Black white onitsuka tigers or all black vans.

I hated MJ with a passion because of how he tortured the Knicks. His face turn for me was the flu game. My dad and I got home just in time to catch most of it and I couldn’t take my eyes off the TV. Then he pushed Russell in 98 and I’ll never forget how mad I was.

I’m all about Boost these days..Got a couple random Nike retro and AF1’s..Only Js I got left ate XXIII and Jumpman Pro’s my wife IDed me for our anniversary a few years ago..Would love to get them Black Cements though..I had a pair of some retros about 6 yrs ago and sold them before I could wear em..smh

Crazy to think of the talent pool during Mike's era that never got a ring cuz of him or over all balance of talent across the league.
