March Wrestling Thread/April Thread will be up on the second /WM Week

Just from reading, is there any possible way the Royal Rumble is anywhere close to Takeover?

hard when one show is 2hrs and the other is 7hrs. there's going to be a lot of bad matches and lulls
think RR will have its moments. braun/brock/and even kane can be money if they keep it short

Sounds like I missed a great main event..Ain’t mad Almas won..Hope when he gets the call up he don’t have to take his little goblin sidekick with him..

They have been great together.

Sanada vs Okada is going to be fun, even though you already know the outcome.

Just completed the show. Great show from Top to Bottom! Might honestly be the highest rated Takeover show by Match Quality once Dave reviews it. Here are some of my takeaways:

Tag Match was definitely the right match to start the show off with. Great story telling and selling by both teams. No qualms with how anything went in this match.

Velveteen Dream is the man and I hope he keeps changing attires to different styles depending on seasons/opponents. I had that idea years ago, but lack of funds to do it. I'm probably his biggest supporter. Match had some botches, but they recovered and still got the Dream over.

Bayzler vs. Ember was ok. Styles clashed a little bit, but I enjoy Shayna (Shane) and see her really getting better as time goes. Ember did a good job of selling and I liked the finish.

Black vs. Cole was MUCH better than I expected it to be. Great set ups for spots that weren't typical or expected. The run ins were cool too and didn't take away. Definitely argument for best match of the night. I consider this the Jericho vs. Omega to the main event's Naito vs. Okada.

The main event was amazing. It was a battle between two men with different paths to the top, but both deserved to be there. I was definitely on the edge of my seat, having not read any spoilers yet. As an Ingobernable member here on NT, obviously I'm pro El Idolo and happy he didn't lose. I would've been crushed twice this month.

This was seriously the best WWE show from a match quality that I have seen in years, and I was at the last Takeover (which I loved), but they took it to a whole nother level tonight. I completely respect NXT as no longer developmental, but as a true traveling brand.

Now just time to sit back see what Uncle Dave gives the matches. And I have to go back and read all ya'll comments.

Part of me is thinking they pull the shocker and have Sanada win. That would definitely be a different look and it'd be interesting to see if Naito supported it. I know he said that he looks forward to wrestling everyone in LIJ one day because they're the best wrestlers in the world. Overall though, I don't think Sanada wins.

Another part of me thinks Kenny loses the title and wins the New Japan Cup to face Okada. It'd be interesting booking, but it could be Kenny to finally beat him at Sakura Genesis or Strong Style Evolved.
