Mass Shooting Thread: Waiting on the next one.

The crazy thing about that one is we haven't seen a motive as far as I know, correct?

Nope. Dude offed himself before cops busted through, no note no prior history. The only thing they know is he had gambling issues and a girlfriend.

What I told you…… we’ve always been on par with other countries…..

Country been goof
I still have to think which countries have representatives as corrupt and stupid as the U.S. not to mention, one party is full of them or atleast almost all of them are.

Maybe I'm missing something but this seems paltry and weak.

"Under the tentative deal, a federal grant program would encourage states to establish “red flag” laws that allow authorities to keep guns away from people found by a judge to represent a potential threat to themselves or others, while federal criminal background checks for gun buyers under 21 would include a mandatory search of juvenile justice records for the first time."

"Other provisions could funnel billions of new federal dollars into mental health care and into school security programs, funding new campus infrastructure and armed officers. Several senators last week said they expected one cornerstone of the deal would be legislation sponsored by Sens. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) and Debbie Stabenow (D-Mich.) to establish a nationwide network of “community behavioral health clinics.”"

So basically Senators did the absolute bare minimum to address gun violence and they’re gonna pat themselves on the back for it. Yep, sounds about right.

-There is a group of Republicans in the Senate willing to cut these deals as sort of a thank you to Manchin and Sinema for ******* over Biden on the major bills and not dropping the filibuster.

-Out of the 10 Republicans reported to argue to the framework, only Romney is up for election within the next two elections (2022, and 2024)

-Susan Murkowski was for this years ago but she is not for it now supposedly because she is up for election this year

-So the game plan is probably for this to pass with mostly Democratic votes, and just enough Republicans to beat a filibuster. Just like the Infrastructure bill

-So Manchin and the GOP get their talking points, and the people in Congress pushing for serious gun control reforms get told "Take this deal or else, it is the best you're gonna get"

-Then conservative federal and state judges are gonna tear these laws apart when people are not noticing

I mean something is better than nothing but the finesse that is about to happen is clear.

^ wouldn’t be the first time they killed a “friendly” in the midst of chaos and it certainly won’t be the last. This is why folks wanting things to be like the Wild West, with everyone strapped, are nuts. Trained “professionals” can’t get it right in these situations, so I’m supposed to trust Billy Boy to be the good guy with the gun? Hell nah.
