The Pittsburgh Pirates traded first baseman Adam LaRoche to the Boston Red Sox on Wednesday, according to multiple reports.
The Pirates will receive minor league shortstop Argenis Diaz and one other prospect in return for LaRoche, Foxsports.com reported.
In his sixth major league season, LaRoche is hitting .247 with 12 homers and 40 RBIs.
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette DeadsetAce of NT first reported the trade.

I cant front......I liked Chris Duncan at first, but dude has been on a 1-31 slump and is doing absolutely nothing to help this team.
What Julio Lugo will do, i have no idea, but at least Duncan is gone.
Whats crazy is that TLR just blew up about the fans and media coming down n Duncan really hard (He deserved it nontheless)

Cardinals get Matt Holliday he's signing an extension. I can't think of the last big time player they traded for 2nd half of a year that didn'tsign.
McGwire, Edmonds and Rolen all signed.
