MoviePass Offers $10 A Month Subscription Service

My homie got the card and used it when we saw IT the other day just did it at the kiosk.

My and my girl want to sign up for this. So once we sign up we have to wait for the card to be able to use this? Or can you temporarily use the app to purchase tickets and then just go? I`m asking because I see it takes a few weeks to get the card and we will be out of town.

Believe you can use E-ticket at theatres that accept it.

That accept E tickets or that accept Movie Pass? And the Movie Pass Card can only be used at participating Movie Pass theaters right? I`m trying to understand the purpose of the card.

Not every theater or from the looks of it most theaters don't offer the e-ticket option so you need the actual physical card to swipe and get the movie tickets.

If you luck up and have a theater that does do e-tickets you just have to be within the 100 yards to check in but don't actually have to have the card with you. They send you a confirmation code or a QR to scan.

So there are Movie Pass Kiosk or is Movie Pass an option on Kiosk for theaters participating?

Does anyone know if the theater list for Moviepass will ever expand?

Theres a big Regal in my town that I go to watch my movies, but its not on the list. Don't really feel like driving 20 miles in Bay traffic when I want to watch a movie lol.

Late pass -- Do you get to pick your seats only when you're at the theater/kiosk?

And info on the PM hookup? Thanks fam

I looked up other zip codes in the app, none have the little E-Ticket notice by it. Maybe I have to get the card first before I can see them?

You just use the card like you would your debit card. There's not a special kiosk, you just use the one that's at the theater.

Ex. One of my homies went with is to see IT. When we got to the theater he checked in for the showing on the app, went to the AMC kiosk, selected the movie, chose his seat and was prompted to swipe his card. Used the moviepass card and the tickets dispensed.

mother! was great. I enjoyed it alot...MIGHT not want to see it with a girl tbh...

My wife gave me some very evil eyes halfway through and was ret ta go.

So it is simply a method of payment. The reason I`m asking this because if it is just like a regular card and theaters dont have a Movie Pass option in their POS systems then what is stopping me from just using it to pay at any theater? I`m assuming the card doesnt have a Card Issuer Brand (i.e Visa) on it? I assume this is how they control where it is or isn't accepted.

Don't you have to be in the theater to sign in and pick your seats and get your ticket?

I think the apps knows where you are.

From what I understand, you go to the theater and open the app while there, pick your movie and then it fills up your card for the price of the ticket in that theater. Then you use it to pay or go to the kiosk and get your ticket.

I haven't tried it but I believe that's how it works and how it could prevent you from using it on other theaters.
