That's what I read too, but it only works with the E-Ticket icon is next to the theater. The FAQ from Movie Pass says its only 3 movie theater chains.
I was looking to use the E-Ticket before I got my card, but it looks like 50 miles around the DMV area, there are no E-Ticket theaters.

A lot of the nicer theaters have the 30-40 big recliners which are obviously reserved seating. So when you buy The tickets you get to choose from what’s left
So yes, any good movie and especially weekend and evening good chance it’s selling out or gonna be 80% full so seat selection will suck especially if you’re going with other people
