Agreed.  It doesn't seem like he's actually suffering from depression, at least from the description you've given and his problems.  It just seems like he's short on cash and struggling. 

If he's actually suffering from depression than go to a doctor and seek help, but if he's just "having a hard time" with bills and finances right now, then just be there for him and tell him to man up and take care of business.

I've always had a thing for people outside my race. More excitement to it. Although I am put in a position right now where my current bf told me he wouldnt be able to marry because I'm not arabic.

I feel bad for OP, I mean there is not much more you can do to be honest.. Listen, its not the end of the world. Their are going to be bigger problems in life that you will face, like stated before, everyone gets in dilemmas, and eventually we find a way out of it.. well most of the time
