its not blasphemy, you just nostalgic. Gap between Magic and Steph isnt the grand canyon bruh. It's a crack in the sidewalk. And Curry still moving forward.

you saying curry cant be better than magic because magic is a laker or because magic is just out and out better? If magic was a celtic, you still talking out your neck or naw?

He can't be better than Magic because Magic was a 12x all star, 3x league MVP, 3x Finals MVP, 5x champion, 9x all NBA 1st team, 3x assist champion, and basically saved the NBA along with Bird. Oh and he did all that within a 12 year period. That's why and it ain't even close. You wylin.

magic would be straight trash if he played in this era. curry would dominate any era :pimp:

Steph vs Magic

Both changed the game in different ways

6’9 PG, brought the NBA back, created “showtime” fast paced style, rebound pass score post clutch , 9 finals appearances in 12 seasons, won 5

Steph insane shooting, unlimited range, unguardable, team player, winner, kids wanna play like him, about to be 5 straight finals and 4 rings

Interesting comparison but why do we have to compare? They’re both great and so different

One was a superstar from the jump

Magic was amazing...but it was a different time. Magic would be a rich mans ben simmons in todays world.

curry amazing now, he'd be god like you take his skill level and put it in the 80s.

Not with those 80s rules man. Steph would get roughed about on the perimeter and in the paint

Curry would struggle in a more physical era, with hand checking and less favorable rules for offensive players. People forget that the rules have changed over the years making it a lot harder to play defense. Curry wouldn't be trash in the 80s but he wouldn't have nearly as much freedom of movement as he has now.

Also, as Bill Simmons brings up a lot, the injuries that Curry had really his career would have ended his career in the 80s. Medical advancement has made his recovery possible.

these comparisons between arrows are impossible because we're assuming that you just dropped Magic Johnson from 1983 into 2019. Realistically, Magic would have been ruling to shoot 3s in HS if he grew up now

oh he definitely would've been getting his *** handed to him. those pistons teams would've been brutal towards him. would've done more work in the gym though I think. More weight training. Physicality is much easier to adjust to than tougher skill levels.

Well this is the biggest point. but we're having the debate in a vacuum, save for injuries and medical advances.

On the flip side, Magic would be just fine with HIV in todays world.

He never had it doh.

agree with medical advancements playing a big role...but something that often gets overlooked is him switching from trash *** nike hyperfuses to his signature shoes with UA

loved the aesthetic and colorways of the hyperfuses but all it took was one pair for me to realize that they offered minimal support

people talmbout the physicality in the 80/90s
steph aint a small dude. 6'3 and built solid :pimp:
