I don't see how being at Liberty or Duke changes your future. If you can play, you can play. You're not going to hide your weaknesses from scouts.

As stated before, there a ton of guys like Seth with similar builds who come out every year with the same strengths and weaknesses.

Let's be honest here, we want him to excel because of the narrative surrounding his family and how great a story that would be. If he wasn't Steph's brother we probably don't even have this convo

Jon Deibler shooting like 49% from 3 on 20 ppg against tougher competition in europe he's not in the NBA and he's 6'6.

There is an almost never ending supply of shooters who can't gaurd a position.



Kyle Wiltjer is going to score a billion points at this upcoming season at Gonzaga and he might not get drafted.

Perception, Production and Bloodines.

Scouts looking at any random mid major player that puts up numbers...is a lot different that looking at the younger brother of a lottery pick who himself killed it at a mid major level.

Seth Curry averaging 25+ on a Liberty team at the top of its conference...is a lot different than Joe Blow averaging 25 at mid major conference.

Like you said, narratives. They play a part in the process.

Unless you broke all of Jimmers fingers there is no scenario under which Jimmer averages 14 ppg as a senior at any school in ANY league.

Dude from eastern Washington led the NCAA in scoring and was a 2nd round pick for Orlando...why didn't he go in round 1? (By your logic)

You putting a lot of stock into statistics. The ppg don't matter nearly as much as you're trying to make it seem. From an evaluation standpoint, there's nothing can hide from scouts.

Again...if you can play, you can play. Look at Tyler Harvey who led the nation in scoring. By your logic, he should have been a first round pick

He gave 30 to arizona, 26 to UCLA and 44 to Kawhi Leonard and an elite defense SDSU squad don't insult the man by comparing him to Seth Cury.

My point is, getting buckets at a mid major as Steph Currys brother would increase your draft stock. Simple

Because his flaws have already been exposed where as if he stayed at Liberty those flaws would have been talked about, but semi - disregarded in favor of his production / mid major status / production.

Scouts weren't picking apart Dame Lillards deficiencies, CJ Mccollum's, Isiah Cannon, Cam Payne, Nate Wolters..etc etc.

Big time scoring mid major guards weaknesses get overlooked because they are perceived to have such a huge load to carry, that they can get excused for some flaws.

If these guys were putting up 25 a game (Which Seth would have ended up doing at Liberty) and were Steph Curry's brother and had Dell Curry as a father they would have a much better shot at being draft. MUCH better.

Are we talking 1st round pick or just drafted in general? Because Seth has been getting the same opportunities that almost every 2nd round pick is afforded. And he was never going in Round 1.
