Also I think that fumbled snap demonstrates the value of having Carney instead of Tynes. If that snap is fumbled and Tynes is kicking, Giants are taking the Lon the extra point. (See previous games). On that note... anyone know why the Giants' kickoff coverage has been so bad this year?

Well, 3rd and long. Obvious passing situation for most teams, so the coverage is probably playing off and covering well past the marker, so the QB ends uptaking the only open read and hoping the receiver can make something happen. It happens all the time for the Giants offense too (short passes to Ward, Smith,etc.) Yeah, I agree it sucks... but it's probably better than an incomplete because it at least gives your offense a chance to convert.

Sklins need to back off the blitz
They must've missed the memo. Blitzing Eli of 2008 isn't as surefire a pick-6 as blitzing the Eli of 2005-2007.
