I DONT GIVE 2 $!$#'S about A-ROD and the roids situation. I am one of the only fans who has never booed him and supported him all the way through. I amdisappointed only for the fact that we all thought he was the first and real clean power hitter. But this just goes to show that EVERYONE WAS DOING IT. Theeffect will be felt through the crowd and the media, it will be an everyday hassle on his part, so his psyche could be harmed. Honestly I dont want people tokill him over this and I just want him to prove everyone wrong and take this team to the promise land. He doesnt deserve to be crushed every second of hislife, yea he isnt clutch in the playoffs and it sucks but hes still a monster. Lets hope for the best.

i think it will affect his play, and it will make him have his worst season ever..
all the steroid talks, relationship with jeter and madonna will also bug him all year
then yanks dont wanna put up with his crap off field anymore so by the trade deadline they deal him...
to the cubs for aramis ramirez and another pitcher (i hope smarja (sp?))
and before anyone says that ramirez would be a drop off, it wouldnt..dude puts up mvp numbers and is a better defender than a-rod

The will no trade him this year, they have built the lineup to win now. If they dont have a good season he could be gone by the start of next season.

I just dont think it makes sense. There is no equal value for him in this league. As far as a good 3B Aramis Ramirez, David Wright, maybe 1 more could be closebut I just cant see him leaving...especially with his contract

Steroids of no Roids, he's still a beast. He plays good defense and hits the ball a ton. I think all the roid talk is justified but as long as fans dontcrucify him he will be fine.....i hope

I can't front, I was disappointed when I heard the A-Rod news. He's my guy though, and I've backed him 100% since he got to NY, so I'm notgonna stop now.
What upsets me the most is that this is just another distraction for him and the team. Has A-Rod started a season in NY without some kind of negativepublicity/soap opera story?
I think we need to move on and worry about baseball. I have a feeling Yankee fans won't be that forgiving of A-Rod. They've always seemed to dislikethe guy. Now this. This could end up horribly. I'm hoping I'm wrong though.

a-rod is going to have a monster year this year. just got that feeling. but if he doesn't..it wont matter cause the yankees have so many bats and mostimportantly, have improved so much with their free agent pitching scoops. but i do got a feeling a-rod will shut people up. and us yankee fans are not going toboo him on opening day. we only boo'd him when he did not produce because he gets paid so much. we cheered pettite when he returned and we always showedgiambi love so im sure we'll cheer a rod...but if a rod has a bad year....yikes...would not want to be in his shoes

I'm hoping he does as well, but if he does, people will say its tainted cause of the steroid use in 03.
Damned if you do, damned if you don't is what A-Rod will be facing this year. He has an off year, people will bash him for not producing. He has a monsteryear, people will say its the steroids.
Don't get me wrong, I was disappointed when I heard the news 'cause I thought he was a completely clean player his whole career. I'm still gonnaback him though, even though sometimes his at bats fustrates me..But he does produce.
