Wow.
That's very good news, not even baseball wise. If he still can't go through a day w/o feeling some sort of symptoms from the concussion, then shutting him down is the best move. Career threatening and life altering if you bring him back. Should have done this a month ago IMO.

I feel really bad for Morneau. The collision he had at second didn't seem to be all that serious, but what's going on is very sad.

I agree 100%
I love Morenau he is one of my favorite players in the league and every time we see his slide to 2nd where he got the knee to the head, your just like damn that caused a concussion. It just really makes you think about how serious this kind of an injury is. Also makes you understand how something so minor can be so devastating to an entire team.
I'm pretty sure he will bounce back once baseball is over with proper treatment and not worrying about being rushed and what not.

Never good to see a guy have to miss the entire playoffs, on my team or not. Especially such a difference maker. Hope he has a speedy safe recovery.

UM...no. AJ has no business being anything but an emergency starter.
In a perfect world it would be CC-Hughes-Pettitte-CC and no game 5 but the world isn't always perfect so CC-Pettitte-Hughes-CC-Pettitte is more fitting for a 5 game set.
Hopefully I snag game 3 tickets very soon

Two years straight Justin doesn't play the Yankees in the playoffs
While this is disappointing, let's not forget that the Twins... without Morneau.. have had the best record since the All-Star break. Morneau hasn't played one bit since the All-Star break.
Would he have helped? Definitely. But the Twins can still win in the post-season without him, which I believe is something the 2009 team had no chance of doing.

There are only 2 possible ALDS games at yankee stadium. Home game 1 and home game 2 aka game 3 and game 4 of the series. If you bought HOME GAME 3 then it is impossible for that to happen because it would be game 5 of the series. If you actually had tickets for home game 1 and home game 2 then you have a beef...
I suspect you bought home game 3 tickets which they must cancel. If not, call em back and don't get off the phone till they give you a proper explanation. Good luck.
