News On Future Films Based on Comics/Paranormal/Sci-Fi

Also, w/o spoilers, is the end credit scene in IM3 all the way to the end or just a little bit after the credits? Is there only one? I missed the Avengers shawarma because I thought Thanos was the only end credit scene there was.

That's it. Overall story was a supreme let down.

It's one of those lame endings where you're suppose to think Batman let Joker die but we aint see no body so you know he's going to return. The whole thing was just a riff on The Killing Joke but nothing he does this time around is impactful and overall not as good.

Technically that's the end of the arc for now. Although the repercussions of the arc are still being used as a continuing plot device.

A new 11 (or 12?) issue arc is going to start this June. It's Zero Year. Think Year One.

The story arc is definitely very disappointing. The build was really good that you just expected the end to be much, much better and it just wasn't. I mean even the arcs title is very misleading, it really just tried to milk from the original titles hype.

What gets me about the "lasting repercussions" is the death of the family is suppose to be nobody trusting Batman anymore for the lies or him omitting some things he knew about the Joker when they first faced each other. So everybody is supposedly mad at Bruce, they all make excuses not to meet and see how Alfred is doing.

Thing is issues later in their other solo books (Red Hood, Nightwing, Batgirl, etc.) some of them are seen in the Batcave together or with Batman elsewhere working together. Then the next month Batman, Inc. gets heavily shoehorned in to continuity and Damian dies so they're all dealing with that. Then in the main Batman book they're basically flashing back to Batman year zero.

Not even to be sadistic but I expected someone to die in the "Death of the Family". I know it was suppose to be a metaphor in the arc but come on, they can afford to kill someone and re-introduce him 6 months later.

I'm a **** Grayson/Nightwing fan but I think he should have taken a temporary dirt nap, it would have been epic.

I guess Snyder wasn't able to include a real death in this one as he might already have known what Morrison had in plan for his own Bat-book.

Ghost Rider Blazes Back to Marvel
What's this? Another comic book hero returns to its rightful studio.
by Max Nicholson
May 2, 2013

Coming off the news that Daredevil had reverted back to Marvel, it was revealed today that the screen rights to Ghost Rider have also returned to the studio.

Entertainment Weekly confirmed the news to ComicBookMovie.com via Twitter, with further details to follow soon.

However, as Kevin Feige noted earlier this week about Daredevil, this doesn't mean we can expect to see a Ghost Rider reboot any time soon. Said the Marvel exec, "Whenever a character comes back to us, it's usually because the other studios don't want to make the movies anymore -- and that usually means the [previous] movies may not have been particularly well received. They all have potential, but we're not going to say, 'We got it back -- make it!'"

That said, it's no doubt comforting for Marvel to have these characters back in the fold, just in case.

Yeah, they prolly should wait a while before making another one. Just to freshen the franchise up. Pretty awesome that they finally have Rider back :smokin

ghostrider 1 with nick cage was ok. ghostrider 2 tho :x

Did it revert back or returned? I mean GR2 came out in 2011, I thought it took longer than that of no production starting before it can revert back to Marvel? Did the studio just lose faith and has given up on it?

Does this mean we should hope Days of Future Past and Amazing Spider-man 2 are terrible? :lol

i think they will be good but not TDK or anything close to what marvel studios has been doing

Spider-Man franchise is never leaving Sony, it makes too much money no matter how bad it is. Sm3 still made $890mil worldwide and that is just the box office, add the merchandising (toys, shirts, etc...) and DVD/BluRay sales and that movie surpassed a billion easy.

ASM still made $750mil worldwide with the cast being paid a lot less. Sony would be insane to let the franchise off of their grasps.

X-Men, really have to see how the new Wolverine does. I think it'll still make money just because it's Wolverine. The film doesn't even have a big super villain so it'll really test the names popularity when it comes out.

That JLA plot sounds pretty dope. They need to scrap that Ryan Reynolds Green Lantern entirely though. Maybe pull a Don Cheadle/Mark Ruffalo and recast Hal Jordan. Or go with John Stewart instead of Hal. And pleeeaaase for the love of humanity. No more distracting eyesore of a CGI suit. That thing was glowing like Mr. Burns when they thought he was an alien on The Simpsons.

Hollywood needs more black heros man

Might be the first of many to come.

If he steals the movie, I am sure it'll open up some doors but Black Panther seems to be planned for some time now. There was also War Machine who was getting lots of requests prior to IM2 and it looks like he had a big part in IM3.

^ Good point. I understand completely why there isn't many black actors getting major roles in not only marvel/comic movies but movies in general. I'm not that naive, but I was just watching a movie recently and was like damn! Atleast 1-2 ethnic actor please haha.

But yeah BP, Blade, War Machine, etc...I hope audiences fall in love with there characters. Open the door up for more oppertunitys. I'm not even referring to black actors either. All ethnic races

Excuse my ignorance but outside of Blade / Spawn / BP what black heros / characters are there ?

Popular ones include John Stewart, Cyborg, Steel, Bishop, Falcon, Luke Cage, Storm, Fury, Aqualad, Black Lightning, Prowler and Bumble Bee.

The new Ultimates SpiderMan is black and there is a black Capt. America as well, there was a black Firestorm too iirc.
