Next Gen Xbox Reveal Confirmed for May 21

I've been an Xbox supporter for the longest, but I just can't support these shenanigans they are trying to pull. I still can't believe every system comes with a stupid Kinect... *Steve Nash voice* NO THANKS!

Gran Turismo is undoubtedly the greatest racing franchise of all time, but they now have a legit competitor in Forza.

GT5 came out a year before F4 and they didn't drop a single piece of DLC until the F4 RD. I love that type of competitive stuff.

For the record I prefer Forza because of all of the customization options.
true.. i like forza better then gt5... this is coming from a guy with both slim consoles and games...

"We will kill Sony at E3"

However, the key for me was the end of a revealing interview with Craig Davidson, Director of Global Marketing Microsoft. According to him, "Xbox One will surprise the world during E3." Ending with a resounding "We will kill Sony at E3".

Looks like MS have secured some exclusives. I can't wait for E3, i need to go into hibernation for 11 days

smh ACTIONS > WORDS.

I truly hope what they show is groundbreaking cause if its not... smh PR NIGHTMARE

Mirros Edge 2 has popped up in couple of places so that might be one especially since MS and EA are buddies now.

I can't think of an exclusive right now that will kill Sony though but they will probably try and get an equivalent of gears or something.

Reminds me of Sandford Kelly in this vid

I think a lot of people expected MvC3 to be MvC2 HD.

**** I hope they don't do that cause I want Mirror's Edge 2...

Bastards.

Quote I read in that article is:
"Xbox One will surprise the world during E3." Ending with a resounding "Let's kill Sony at E3"

There is a bit of a difference in confidence between 'let's" and "we will".

Anyways Director of Global Marketing doing his job lol

Here's to waiting til E3

After Microsoft allowed a frigging Usher concert to take up 15 minutes of their last E3 conference I don't know how anybody can honestly put faith in what they're saying for E3.

^^ well to be fair, playstation's launch of the colored globes, and nintendo's wii concert, wasn't entertaining either lol

Doesn't really say much. If they don't have no DRM then what better time to say it than E3 where everyone is listening.

i think the point is that Sony really didnt answer any of those questions at their event, and while Microsoft did and got bashed fro it. For all we know, Sony may have the exact same things xbone has ( in terms of used games etc)

One of the benefits of showing stuff people want to see at a console unveiling.

Well it may not be stuff that you, swedro, wanted to see but I'm sure there are some that liked what XB1 had to show... including the console itself since that's the main point of a console unveiling!

no way in hell is only microsoft using the drm verification . sony fanboys get ready to be bent over also

Both companies are probably getting pressured by big 3rd party companies like EA or the people that make COD and what not.

What if Sony says no to EA and COD makers on the subject then EA can probably pull support from the PS4 or XB1 if they don't do it.

EA is probably the biggest company I think I read years ago in an issue of EGM when the PS2 generation was upcoming.

Imagine not having support from them... you'd be doomed because besides COD they make all the other top grossing games that are not 1st party like Halo, Mario, Zelda, God War, Gran Turismo.

I think the big companies are pushing for this more than M$ or Sony.

EA Online Pass Content Now Free
Along with new titles no longer using Online Passes, EA is also removing them from existing games.
by Andrew Goldfarb MAY 30, 2013

EA has begun the process of eliminating Online Passes from its existing catalog of games. On the heels of news that it will not use Online Passes in future games, EA has now made Online Passes for the following games free or has removed them altogether:

Alice: Madness Returns
Battlefield 3
Battlefield: Bad Company 2
Bulletstorm
Dead Space 2
Dead Space 3
Dragon Age 2
Dragon Age: Origins
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
Mass Effect 2
Mass Effect 3
Medal of Honor
Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit
Need For Speed: The Run
Need For Speed: Shift 2
Skate 3
The Sims 3

An EA representative provided the following statement about the change to IGN:

“As we discontinue Online Pass for our new EA titles, we are also in the process of eliminating it from all our existing EA titles as well. We heard the feedback from players and decided to do away with Online Pass altogether.

Players will see it first with some EA Sports titles, where a prompt to enter an Online Pass code will no longer appear in-game; with other titles we are simply making Online Passes available free of charge online.

These are rolling updates that are taking effect over the next several weeks. We hope players continue to enjoy our games and online services for a long time to come.”

In a new FAQ on its official site, EA explains that the changes will apply to both PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Marketplace.

“We listened to the feedback from players, and decided to do away with Online Pass,” the site says. “We hope that eliminating Online Pass will allow more people to play and enjoy EA games for a long time to come.”
