Eagles know they'd have to move up for Evans

Really won't know Evans expected spot til Watkins is off the board

Look at the defense Seattle has. They were up 29-0 on Denver before one of their average WRs caught a touchdown.
Well then maybe that's the direction the team wants to go. Who are the best WR in the game? Calvin, Dez, and Julio? Where have they taken their team?

And Chip is only 1 yr removed from scouting most of these prospects. Guarantee he has one mind which made this decision even easier.

I'd find it hard to believe that Chip was thoroughly scouting non pac xii or bowl opponent players

If this dude signs elsewhere.... :{

The highs and lows of free agency :lol

It's like recruiting in college football, nothing is official until ink hits paper.

Only difference is in the NFL you get paid on top of the table instead of under the table like in college

And some guys have to take pay cuts entering into the NFL.

For Philly tho, Maclin, Cooper, Ertz, Celek, Shady, and Sproles is still a ***** to cover.

Deep WR class, I wouldn't be surprised at all if Chip simply takes Josh Huff later in the draft and rolls with that.

I have no doubt's about Chip's ability to make an offense work, but I don't see a plug and play guy replacing DJ
you do realize desean wasnt the only 1 that ran deep routes in our offense..

and chip's offense isnt necessarily about tempo.. but moreso about forcing the opposing team to show their hand and keeping them in a single personnel grouping for the entire drive (by not substituting on drives)

and within all of those personnel groupings you have numerous guys who can be running and/or passing options.. all of our TEs and RBs are receiving threats.. and all of our WRs have to be capable blockers

chip is just going with the premise you wont be able to cover all of my guys one on one in the passing game.. or you wont be able to hold up in the running game

I know, right? I gotta think the deal is done, but like u said....gotta wait until the ink is on the paper. Leaving ******** Park could just be a lot of nothing, but who knows?

Where have the top anything other than quarterbacks taken their teams?

Ian Rapoport ‏@RapSheet 3m

DeSean Jackson exited #******** facility, source says (as @TarikCSN said). But plan is for him to stay in town with hopes of doing a deal

Ian Rapoport ‏@RapSheet 1m

They haven’t really negotiated yet. Many facets to this. RT @klazziic: @RapSheet @TarikCSN why not just close a deal there and then

Ian Rapoport ‏@RapSheet 1m

Not that it matters a ton — since we all have phones — but agent Joel Segal is in town for face-to-face negotiations for DeSean Jackson

If it makes you feel better, Knowshon Moreno left us for a couple days and still signed.

D-Jax could just be talkin things over with fam and agents, what not.

Of course he wasn't. There is no offense ever created in the history of the NFL where only 1 player runs deep routes, at least in the modern era. But if #10 runs a deep route he commands rotations and attention that #14 would not.

It's pretty obvious what Chip's offense is about that's been well covered since his days @ UO

And everyone uses personel groupings, packages, etc

As I said before, I have no doubts that Chip will trot out a good offense

Exactly. Any player is replaceable except QB. It's a QBs league. D-Jax will be replaced in no time. Especially with this deep WR crop.

I hate this just as much. It's a TEAM league. The better TEAM always wins. Russell Wilson was 9/18 for 103 yards against the Saints and they got the W. Why? The Seahawks were better.

Look at the last couple 'record setting offenses' in the Super Bowl -- they lost to superior, more complete teams.
