Random...but on ESPN, I came across a blurb about guys in the league who wear wedding bands while playing. Even got a quote from Big Ben as to why he does it. I couldn't help but to laugh. This is the same dude who was sexually assaulting women 2 years ago and now he wants to prove his love to his wife by wearing his wedding ring on the field?

Get outta here w/ that. Also, what father would let his daughter marry that guy anyways? Jeez.
Wow its weird you bring this up... (to me at least)

I went to play ball in my Sunday night league locally... Took my wedding band off and left it on my computer desk at home and now I cant find it.

Got me checking my dogs turds and everything....

Always take mine off but forgot it this morning. Hope I can find as well :lol

As for Ben, dude has finally 'gotten it' and grown up. Only took what, 7 years? I do think he legit has turned his life around but I understand why people hold his past against him. While from what I have gone through I don't necessarily believe he was guilty of all that was accused, he still was a complete slime ball, made terrible decisions and put himself in situations where you can be accused of some horrific actions. Guess we will never really know. :{

Amazed how yahoo can report a confirmed separated shoulder last night when the doctor that was going do the MRI wasn't even at the hospital yet. I know t liked like one but stop guessing and hoping to be right. Ugh journalism in today's world

People still taking about Ben & the bogus rape charges huh? :rolleyes

Derrick Johnson reminded folks he's still a great LB. Dude was a bull in a china shop last night. Steeler O-line could handle him & Hali. O-line, especially Starks had trouble recovering...

Berry looked sharp last night too. Had a feeling the Chiefs D would come to play & the rain would hinder game play...

Outside of Timmons, LBs looked bad, especially Debo (Harrison). He's really looking old. Jamal Charles & Hillis were ripping some nice runs.

I know Leftwich hasn't played since 2010, so his rust was to be expected but damn, that pitcher like wind up he has is fugly...

Coach Tomlin didn't seem to have these guys ready to play last night...

A win's a win though, on to the ratbirds....

I can't tell if James just hasn't full recovered from injury or time is taking its toll but he definitely doesn't hit that corner low and fast like he used to

:lol @ them being bogus.

U believe that David Blaine can fly also? :lol

Wasnt he married a year after his last charge.

I believe so...and you're spot on about the $$ aspect

Look I'm far from an apologist, Ben's very much the typical pro athlete dbag, but having read all the facts about both cases, they were both bogus to the 9th degree...I'm somewhat surprised JJs07, your a pretty smart dude, so a fanatical opinion coming from you is surprising...

Gets upset when people call Ben a rapist but will go on and on about how lewis is a murderer and Sean Payton
is a "liar junkie". :{

I'm not upset dude, I just go by facts I read. Your the one that gets all upset about things. Lewis is a convicted felon. Fact. Sean Payton was stealing meds from the team & also lied about the bounty program repeatedly. Fact. It is what it is...I don't expect any less from the negativity you constantly post. Sad really...But cheers & happy holidays to ya...

Money and celebrity talks...i'm gonna leave it at that.

I don't think any of us are in position to judge him and his wife's 'love and marriage'. We have absolutely no idea what their relationship is based on nor should try to guess.

Wasn't disputing their guilt, but the hypocrisy by you. And you were upset, who posts the ":rolleyes" gif otherwise?
Negativity I post? Because I make snap judgements about every players heart and work ethic (despite not knowing),
constantly call other players and coaches and even another team (solely) with derogatory names. Ok.

Don't feel sorry for me. I feel sorry for you. You think you're tight with everyone because you post tmz style football articles and
you refer to NTers like this is real life "oh what's up ____?! Haven't seen you in a minute? How's the wife and kids? Aah man your defensive end is killin' it! What do you think about the short and long term aspects of your team? I'm all ears.

And because when NTers start bickering you tell them to settle down and be respectful.
You're some wannabe loved, den mother. You're weird bro.

Nobody knows what really happened other than him and those girls. But the fact that he was charged twice says that something was wrong dude.

He was never charged. One case was a civil accusation and the other the GA DA couldn't find enough evidence to charge

Thy name is salt & vinegar...Man, you're one unhappy dude. I don't need to be loved or liked by anyone here...Cheers...

i'm probably biased as hell, but both of those cases were shady as hell. the first one was 100% bs, but just really helped screw him over when he stupidily put himself into another terrible situation where he could get accused of something, because then people were just like...again :rolleyes?

regardless, i think he's genuinely turned himself around and i'm happy for him. hope he's able to hold his baby when his wife gives birth with no problems in the next couple weeks.

I feel like its almost 3 years ago all because of a shoulder injury :lol

Anyway what else is going on around the league? Who is feeling good about their team? Is it possible for one to get CPOY and other MVP between AD and Peyton?

He was never charged. One case was a civil accusation and the other the GA DA couldn't find enough evidence to charge

I stand corrected.

Back to football...

I would probably give AP CPOY and Peyton MVP. Its a lot of football left though.

Do you not read? I wasn't disputing their guilt, just that you get upset when people slander your team/players but you do the same.

And since you "go by the facts" Lewis had his murder charges dismissed. So if you
can call him a murderer, Ben can be called a rapist despite not being convicted.

If we're being technical here.

He was never charged. One case was a civil accusation and the other the GA DA couldn't find enough evidence to charge

Noted. But he was till accused twice. It's not as if people are calling him a rapist out of thin air. There's basis.

I always thought the Vikes were still in play for LA...The Minnesota economy is in rough shape so here's the latest...

Minnesota governor threatens to undo stadium deal
Posted by Mike Florio on November 13, 2012, 10:47 AM ES

The Vikings could eventually be back in play for L.A.

As the team’s new stadium moves from blueprint to bricks and mortar, the politician who helped push the deal through a reluctant legislature isn’t happy. And he has threatened in a roundabout way to nix the project.

The problems arise from the team’s willingness to play home games in London while the new stadium is being constructed, along with the notion that a portion of the team’s contribution toward the stadium costs could be raised via season-ticket holders.

“The project’s strong support came from many regular Minnesotans, not just rich Minnesotans, because they believed the Vikings are also their team. If a new stadium were to betray that trust, it would be better that it not be built,” Governor Mark Dayton wrote in a letter to owners Zygi and Mark Wilf, via the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

“This Private contribution is yours, not theirs,” Dayton added, opting for an underline in lieu of an exclamation point. “I said this new stadium would be a ‘People’s Stadium,’ not a ‘Rich People’s Stadium.’ I meant it then, and I mean it now.”

Unless they work this out, it could end up being “No People’s Stadium.” And the Vikings could be playing at Farmer’s Field.
