And we ain’t even get started on the elephant in the room that Lamar is the perfect player to do this to…He’s already polarizing and a black QB, a large segment of NFL fans and media already gon say it’s all nothin off top, and the owners know this

The top 3 QBs in terms of guaranteed money are black...

Ravens had Greg Roman and no weapons for the majority of Lamar’s tenure. That doesn’t scream well ran to me.

I agree Baltimore isn’t inept (generally), but what they surrounded Lamar with is criminal.

Go to my previous posts. The last one shows the receivers weren't all that bad. I hit on Roman before. It all adds up to me and makes sense.

I dont have the energy to take on all comers for this because so far I'm the only one on this side of things...my main point has always been that he's already peaked. To that, everyone will see soon enough...until then, I'm done with it.

You just don’t like Black QBs like Lamar. Son won a whole unanimous MVP 😂😂😂

There it is...the ignorant, "you're racist" (because I disagree) post. ******* idiot.

I guess I have to take back Hurts being my favorite QB in the league or being on Lamar way back to his time in Louisville (My posts were here for all to see on Lamar)...maybe I should take McNair outta my personal top 5 Q's of all time now....I can go on. Bring something intelligent to the table or move on...I'm not your guy for this.

Dumbass.

1. I don't know what collusion is
2. I'm racist

Any more unintelligible stances someone wants to erroneously throw at me bc I'm not on the Lamar train anymore?

Yes....anymore, past tense. Meaning I was, but no longer.

Giants should offer their stars to Ravens for Mark Andrews....Slayton and Richie James and Daniel Bellinger.....oh wait not fair? how about our dude Hodgins as well? still no? lol

Happy that Daniel Jones signed today........big number yes, not the fake news number reported for the fools that read everything as its fact like the fox news clowns

Again, part of the reason Danny Dimes can get this deal is the tag hurts the giants 32M against the cap, the giants have leverage and so does the player - DJ counts 19M against the cap(lower than the 5th year opition by the way)and barkley 10M(for now bet they get deal done) thats 29M combined - rookie class 3M. for 33M we get 2 players and rookies - WIN

Back to Lamar - fully guaranteed contract is tough - he can get it but doubt more than 3 years - this is not owners collusion - do you guys understand what fully guaranteed contract entails? 260 / 5?? 52M a year? that full amount counts towards the cap..... a team is going to give up 2 firsts and FULL QB amount towards the cap??? TOUGH

AGAIN i'm all for players getting PAID - this is 100% the players fault - Rodgers wanted this addressed - the tag is tool no sport has - it really hurts the ability for salaries to climb -

Saw somewhere an idea makes perfect sense - teams can cut any one player every year or every other year with NO DEAD CAP HIT - the space that year and future years clears upon cut - Whats the problem with that? Frees up ton of $ to be spent - the problem? the big valued/earning teams can really take advantage of this

Saw somewhere else good question....

can texans make deal with lamar - go to ravens and say yes, we will give you our first next year and following year but not our 23 pick.....

Thought the picks would have to be 23 and 24 1sts?

thats what I think but can they negotiate? I'm pretty sure they can if ravens are agreeable - but i'm also wondering does it have to be the 2nd pick.....what if Texans can get 2 firsts in the 20s ?

I can't remember if it was Bomani or Foxworth that stated that the Ravens haven't been that great of a franchise as of late and that they are running off the Ozzie Newsome era prestige.

Since DeCosta took over in 2019, the Ravens haven't drafted a single offensive or defensive Pro Bowler. Devin Duvernay made it twice as return specialist.

Neither have they signed nor traded for an offensive player that would even end up a Pro Bowler since.

Also never in team history, the Ravens have never had a player selected to the Pro Bowl as a wide receiver.

The reality is this is a front office that stopped building around Lamar with GOOD pieces.

Definitely not doubting the collusion angle, but what I don’t believe though is that a team wouldn’t pull the trigger solely in order for the league to “prove a point.”

All these teams know the Ravens are just going to match whatever it is you put out there if it doesn’t have $250M in guaranteed money though. So if you’re not gonna come correct, there’s no point in even offering. Paying him $50M a year hasn’t been remotely an issue for Baltimore.

Hindsight is 20/20 but I wish the Broncos didn’t sign Russ and had picks to give Lamar whatever he’s asking for.

Wild thing is, despite not really hitting on the pro bowl type talents, if the Ravens could actually be fully healthy, there’s no reason why they couldn’t be a top 4 type team in the league. Defense was shaky at the beginning of season when the offense was putting up points, despite not having JK. Then they made the Roquan trade which made the defense stout, but Bateman’s injury killed the passing game and then Lamar got hurt.

The offense with Lamar/JK/Bateman/Andrews should work at a pretty high level.

The defense should be good.

Injuries are what they are though.
