Carter left the combine early on March 1 to return to Athens, where he was arrested on misdemeanor charges of racing and reckless driving for his alleged role in the car wreck that killed Georgia offensive lineman Devin Willock and recruiting staffer Chandler LeCroy.

The fatal crash took place hours after the Bulldogs held their championship parade.

Police allege that Carter was racing his 2021 Jeep Trackhawk against LeCroy when the SUV she was driving hit two power poles and several trees.

Police said LeCroy’s SUV was going 104 mph before the crash and that she had a blood alcohol level of .197 — more than twice the legal limit.

The way the media keep putting it like "Jalen Carter was involved in a race that killed 2 people..." makes all us think it was his car.

They were in 2 different cars. It's all-around tragic situation but he is not responsible for the deaths. The girl was drunk. Everybody involved made a terrible decision.
