12 win seasons is awesome but we live in an age where success is measured by what you do in the post season.

Yeah and its measured differently depending on the team

Barry Switzer went to a NFC championship his first year and won a Super Bowl his second year with the Cowboys
Everybody says he won with Jimmy’s team

Gruden won a Super Bowl with the Bucs and everybody knows it was Dungy’s team but that was rarely brought up until Gruden recently became “disliked” by the media

McCarthy is a good coach and I’m expecting to see a better Dak now that McCarthy is taking over the offense

jimmy built those team’s and won 2 super bowls… jerruh hasn’t done shh since

the bucs moved on from dungy because they felt he underachieved with those teams, they went on to win the Super Bowl once replacing him

seems pretty obvious the differences in the situations

Need Wilson to go before the eagles… do not trust a big dude with feet issues

ESPECIALLY the “Cowboys” …America’s Team.

Postseason success is all that matters

Yankees, Lakers, Celtics, Cowboys, etc. those teams are judged by championships and playoff success

Jerry Jones didn’t want to trade Herschel Walker….

That was all Jimmy’s genius. Jimmy specifically drafted SPEED. Majority of the players from our 90s dynasty were from the U and Florida based, or Southern schools.

Jimmy preached conditioning and stamina. He wanted you to be able to play all 4 quarters.

Jerry was the marketing/financial genius.

Jimmy was the ON FIELD genius.

Jerry’s ego is why he hasn’t won since 1996. Those Cowboys teams were supposed to be the Patriots 2000s dynasty. We missed out.

People think Belichick was tough, Jimmy Johnson was known as one of the toughest, most demanding coaches ever. He was a no nonsense guy.

it all depends on your situation, always has

coaches have been fired in numerous sports and levels for underachieving in the playoffs

if you have a young QB and seeing where things are going, back to back 12 win teams could be a huge win

meanwhile dak is going be 30 soon and McCarthy was the Super Bowl winning coach they brought in

Sheesh
