The league put themselves in a tough position with how they've handled past transgressions.
The way they sat on their hands during the whole Tyreek deal when he legit threatened his BM's is gonna make taking action on the AB situation pretty tough without any criminal proceedings/charges ongoing.
There's no real precedent that's been set by them yet for this kind of thing. The way they've fumbled so many other cases in the past really hampers their ability to deal with them moving forwards. The league/Rog brought it upon themselves though after thinking they could act as judge,jury and executioner before courts acted

He most certainly can function properly. He appeared to be a nut job for 2+ weeks prior to joining NE and scored in his first damn appearance for them.

If I had to GUESS... Based off what we know..
Ryan Pace coming from NO.. He was trying to find his Drew Brees in Mitch. He wanted that type of QB. The one thing every scout agreed on was that Mitch had pin point accuracy, and in the NFL we just haven't seen it.
Pace has maintained that Chicago Bears culture of being centered around the defense, but when it comes to the O he's trying to build his own version of the Saints, It's pretty obvious. And I'm cool with that, but what still confuses is me is Drew Brees played alot in college, Mitch didn't, **** I remember Drew having like a 70 pass attempt game for Purdue
Mitch played 13 games. Watson was CLEARLY the more accomplished QB of the 3 as far as playing time, big games etc. and if I was the GM that would have been the #1 thing I looked for tbh. I would've ranked it Watson, Trubisky, Mahomes. But I'm past talking Watson / Mahomes when it comes to the Bears choosing the worst of the 3. As a Bears fan only **** we can do is hope the kid ends up being what he was projected to be. One things for sure, he isn't as bad of a QB as his first 2 weeks are indicating. Oh I get your point, he’s definitely gifted with TALENT and I was pumped when he played/scored, but it’s the off-field stuff that I’m just disappointed at knowing there’s a legal matter he should be focusing on.
At some point, distractions will get in the way.
