NFL Regular Season Thread 2019-2020: The Brazen Bahamian Battles Over Eli’s Legacy Til He’s Blue In The Face

Oh I get your point, he’s definitely gifted with TALENT and I was pumped when he played/scored, but it’s the off-field stuff that I’m just disappointed at knowing there’s a legal matter he should be focusing on.

At some point, distractions will get in the way.

If nothing comes of these accusations and incidents then I believe he'll behave on the straight and narrow for the rest of the season.

I really don't think AB is dumb enough to squander a chance to be on a SB winning team.

Dolphins in talks with Jags for Ramsey.

Houston 1st
Drake/Jones
Call it a day

Sam Darnold sucks, that's probably how he got mono

I feel like every season we complain about penalties for like the first 3-4 games. Then the refs are told to lay back. It’s always the topic of discussion for the first few weeks.

Yeah, because Jalen is going to love winning in Miami  .

Jalen has no say where he is traded to, and you’re acting like they don’t have unlimited cap and draft picks to turn it around faster than Gase running the Jets into the ground.

He also gets paired with an elite man corner on the other side. Wouldn’t be able to name a better CB team.

Is it sick that I think because Brady tweeted about it, that we'll see the refs dial back?

This seems counterproductive to a tank no?

They never said they were tanking.

They’ve said the opposite this entire time, I say they are tanking though.

Jones/Drake not in the long term plans.

Houston will get a 20s pick, anyone in the 20s better than Jalen? (Let's day there is a very slim chance), so why wouldn’t you do it if you’re the Dolphins?

Jags aren’t getting a higher draft pick and your current running back had 10 carries for - 15 yards until he broke one. Makes sense to me. Get it done.
What sense does it make for the Dolphins who just traded a 2nd year DB on a rookie deal for a first. Jalen is in his last years and will get a record breaking deal.

Because other than X he is the best CB in the league on a team that has a defense that thrives on shutdown man corners.

Minkah wasn’t the best at anything yet and didn’t buy in. Dolphins have the cap to take care of Jalen in a tax free state, would very much help on the buy in.

And none of this changes that the Dolphins are talking to the Jags, but I appreciate you guys asking me this stuff like I work in the front office. With them talking who knows if anything happens, but the Dolphins have draft picks and cap space to spare, along with a defensive scheme fit for Jalen.

Dolphins just traded a DB in his 2nd year for a first round pick.. While also being outscored 102-10 in the first two games..

If that's not a tank, it's definitely not a team that's trying to be competitive.

I would have to think that a lot of dolphin fans would be upset with their favorite team trading a first round pick that's looked at as a rebuilding piece.

Probably.

I wouldn’t, just locked down CB for the next 5 to 7 years for little cost. Extra 1st in the 20s and depreciating assets.

So basically the Dolphins want to have the top 2 highest paid CBs (NO SARCASM; TRUE FACT) in the league and just figure out how to score points and get any pass rush.

Got it.

Random Thought:

What happened to Dwayne Jarrett? Him, Bush & Lienart were and unstoppable trio.

He stinked. Kinda funny how Steve Smith had the better pro career

Bush wasn't really part of that trio at first. Lendale White was. He amassed more carries and TD's than reggie.

Reggie was just more electrifying.
