You know that Woodson and Matthews weren't even on the field right? Like, the 2 most important players on the defense?

What about the other 15 games?

Where they only gave up more than 30 pts 3 times to the Saints, Giants and Chargers? Ill take that when the team is scoring 35 PPG.

Only give up 22 points a game. 1st in take aways. Ya I like our chances

I could understand if dude was slighting the Packers and praising the Ravens or Steelers but the Patriots? They have the worst defense in the league AND haven't won a playoff game in what 3-4 years?

Packers defense does get shredded but that's because they usually have a big lead and they score at will, defense be on the field a ton but when you lead the league in forced turnovers yardage allowed can be very misleading

Over hyped on Nt? The Pats get no love on NT other than from their fans

Cats talkin about Brady winning a playoff game ? Dude is the winningest QB in the L, and its only a matter of time before he hoists his 4th SB trophy. It only seems like Brady hasnt won in a long time because its so odd to see the Pats lose. You just dont expect to see it; like a shooting star. Failure is magnified when success is all you know.

NE will coast to the SB and put up 75 points on that sorry Pack D

here we go

we are FAR from over-hyped on NT....even fans in NE are like, don't even talk SB until you beat pitt or bmore first.

Hasn't won a playoff game since 2007, hasn't won a Super Bowl since 2004.

and its only a matter of time before he hoists his 4th SB trophy.

If by "matter of time" you mean "as soon as New England finds a defense," you are correct.

It only seems like Brady hasnt won in a long time because its so odd to see the Pats lose.

Hasn't won a playoff game since 2007, hasn't won a Super Bowl since 2004. How is it odd when they're losing more than winning?

You just dont expect to see it; like a shooting star.

I've seen shooting stars more recently than 2007. Saw some last night. Haven't seen the Patriots win a playoff game, though.

Failure is magnified when success is all you know.

Aaron Rodgers will put up 76 on that sorry Pats D.

At the end of last season even before the playoffs, what would have been more likely to believe that the Pack would go 15-1 and be the first seed in the NFC the following year or that the 49ers would be 13-3 and the 2nd seed?

Thats why Harbaugh>

Here we go with taking a comment from ONE person and lumping the entire fanbase/board with that view.

On point. That's pretty much the sentiment around these parts...

I'm already on record here saying they won't reach the SB. All those ugly wins made me believe that. Their defense needs to have a '06 Colts-like magical turnaround for the postseason...

Even tho it looks like it is written in hate... This Guy is totally correct.

And I know this really means nothing. But I know how NT loves stats... So the Pats didn't beat one team with a winning record this year. #imjustsayn

Thre weren't many with winning records in the AFC, conference sucked this year (at least that's how it felt without checking)

Yea. Your right it was on 6 in the AFC.But anybody who knows football knows that defense wins championships. If you can't stop nobody you not going to the SB.The pats allowed 20 or more points in 12 of the 16 games this season.I think the Ravens D can atleast slow down the pats. But I don't think the pats can slow down the ravens. The pats secondary will have Flacco out there looking like a star.

I used to think defense won championships, Goodell and the NFL have made me rethink that (unfortunately)

not that i disagree with that general point about defenses...but joe flacco on the road this year has looked VERY beatable

NFLRumorCentral ESPN
The Chargers reportedly won't be tagging Vincent Jackson. That's very good news for some other teams

I just got got done watching Victor Cruz's highlights this season and had to come back in here to call out the !#!%@%! that said Eli deserves the Probowl over Stafford because he doesn't have luxury to just throw it up Megatron?

What the hell do you call what Eli throws up to Cruz?

Cruz is my man hundred grand and all but don't get it twisted for one second, he is not Megatron. Cruz is fast, runs good routes and will fight for the ball. He wants to win. He wants to make a play. Eli trusts him. So Eli takes calculated risks every now and then and will throw it up for grabs. When Matt Stafford throws it up to Megatron it is not a calculated risk. Calvin is bigger, stronger and faster than everyone he goes against. There is little risk involved. Stafford is making the smart play by throwing it up to him.
I don't want to downplay Cruz's performance this year but Eli has to get a good amount of the credit. We've seen him make stars out of no name receivers before. As much as I love what Cruz has done this year he's not a number one receiver kinda guy. He's a big play #2 Desean Jackson type of guy. I wish Fitz would've left and signed with the GMen. The combination would've had defenses sick for years.

Eli had a good year for the most part, his last few weeks he had a few games that could be questionable. Stafford had some bad games in between. His last 2-3 games were solid and that's why his numbers are so solid. Not trying to take anything away from him, either one could be in the Pro Bowl in my opinion but I think they rather be in the playoffs so this argument is foolish
