Lots of distaste for the 2012s. Color of the gray, uncomfortable, stiff/hard synthetic leather, and banana shape which many models have. If you want a good laugh, go to the 2012 forum and see how many people and who liked these at the time. Remember these 2012s sold out instantly.

The 2016 addresses the issues above (not the shape exactly) and gets closer to the original in terms of details, mainly the leather, color, and speckles (don't talk about speckle density) but it's effectively the same shoe. Most judge quality as the softness of the natural or synthetic leather as the main factor.

yes I know that's why I mentioned it. It sold out in like 8 mins. I am saying it wouldn't work for me the first 10 mins then once it started working it told me to wait in line even though they already sold out

The 2012 versions seems to fit fine for me. Sure the grey is a bit too light to the OG among other slight flaws but nothing I can't deal with. I have a beater pair and a DS pair too but sucks now that it's not worth anything. Might have to just sell for a loss at this point.

Sold my 2 pairs of 2012s. Soon as the thread showed confirmation dates...i wore em only a few times and called my vise grip 4s. Them joints were really uncomfortable.
I remember i posted that vise grip comparison on here and got flamed on...but they were sooo uncomfortable i had to let em go for any decent offer. Wasn't gonna pass on the 2016s.

I really miss the soft plastic "caging" on the '99s.

I'm opposed to this cheap netting they continue to use on IVs. Don't look so bad on these, but really made the last black/red retro look super cheap.

Oh well. Probably costs too much to reproduce that material.

So is it a general consensus that the NA pair is worthy of the $220 price tag?
$220 for the 2nd best colorway of the 4s is pretty steep.

Should have busted the '12s out years ago.. Now I'm stuck with these plastic banana boats. Prob just put the '16s on ice and break out the plastic slippers this spring.

I like now how Eastbay no longer says that line about how the shoe is so popular there's no point to even try. It was something like -"You like this shoe? So does everyone else! Due to its overwhelming popularity we expect it to sell out in seconds." I guess now it's not so popular.

IMO no. $220 is steep even with better quality material. But w.e. I like this CW alot and I'm gonna try to cop under retail. Some ppl would complain if they were 180 or 190. To each their own

In regards to these dropping through SNKRS and the price...Has anyone figured out to get the "regular" NDC product page from the SNKRS app or website? Similar to what happened with the last Air Max Zero release (if anyone in here was around for that)...

I'm just wondering because SNKRS = no Swoosh price, but if you can get the NDC product page you can get it on Swoosh...
