Nike Air Jordan Retro Metallic V - 7/23/16

I need those fire red 5's with the 23 on the side retroed again! Mine crumbled as well last year.

And as far as the yellowing, my 2016 pair yellowed faster than the last pair I had. Definitely different material or process used.

How did it feel?
:lol:It felt much nicer than whatever this is they use today as a replacement. The modern version feels dry and almost rough in relative comparison. The OG material had, as you can see in that V ad, a kind of "grain" to it, as well. So many black Nikes of the era used that stuff. Just like you can see in the ad and as I said in my other post, it almost looked oily or wet when viewed in the right light/from the right angles.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it was some premium material. I can't even say if it was more or less DURABLE than today's stuff. It just LOOKED and felt nicer.

I vividly remember 5s being way more sleek, and generally not as clunky as they are today. Today's version looks awesome, but feel so clunky on feet.
Ive probably posted this far too many times but the most recent retro was a BRICK compared to what they originally were. Some, but very few, people even notice.

Definitely. And the OG Durabuck was a much smoother texture. Not quite like leather, but not like we're getting now, which is more like a very very short haired nubuck. I was talking more about the comfort, but you're right, the look was quite diff with the materials and shape.
