yeah his original collab in the ZF, peg 36 and odyssey react all consisted of writing and doodles reflecting his artwork so pretty on brand for him to continue doing it

Yep. And Nathan Bell has been doing his thing for a while; at least a few years before those ZoomFlys came out, including a Vans shoe from 2017.

So much better than the super bulky-looking shoe that was making the rounds a couple months ago as the design for the 39. This looks much more iterative and believable. Looking forward to seeing this in more colors.
