Love how Lebron barely wore the 19 but the 20 was gonna be a shoe with more air
more than likely 20 was already on the works before 19 even got released, but of course they’re gonna have to scarp all that and work at a quicker pace to come up with a whole new design which might’ve played into how simple the shoe looks, which i don’t think looks terrible. leads the door open for a lot of good color blocking

i don't know anything and don't have insider knowledge, or pretend to like some on this forum while posting multiple theories and if it doesn't hit then it's "well it's just one of 200 samples i saw".
i honestly feel like these were not meant to be the 20's at all but rather the next ambassador. i can see these as an upgrade to the ambassador line before i see them as an upgrade to the main line. i just see the similarity's in the design elements.. maybe it's just me.
we all know that lebron liked the amb13 so much (well...that's basically what he wore last season, no?) but it needed more tech. so they took this pink shoe we've seen, made it better and are gonna call it the 20. it's easier to print lebron 20 labels than go thru the whole design process from scratch. like you said, they were working on the 20 before the 19 release..
i expect there to be no new ambassador model this year.. let's see.
this is my opinion of course. no inside knowledge. just speculating here.

no inside knowledge either, just the lifecycle of a product from start to finish.
my guess is just as good as anybodys outside of the team at nike in charge of the line and with your point of not starting from scratch, i forgot to mention that it’s totally possible nike already had a product designed and in mind for a different product line and showed it bron that might’ve liked it so they went with that.
in the end, just hope the shoes that end up getting released is a good performer and worth the price tag

we have seen nike make lower to the ground modified versions of his sig for the past few years.
nike just wants a reason to charge you 200 with all that visible air.
they are insane if they charge 200 again and the shoe looks like that.
putting zoom x in it i guess in nikes eyes justifies that price tag

Agreed. Egregious Retro Jordan prices with technology and cheaper materials 20-30 years later is the most offensive thing too. Ridiculous, even given inflation.
If this low cut Kobe esque LeBron XX is loaded with double stack and full length zoom tech (rare now a days) instead of ****** Air Max?
I’m totally game. Can’t wait to see moc ups. Honoring colorways of all the damn teams he’s played on (Cavs, Heat, Lakers) plus multi color models? I’m in … maybe even for a pair at retail cost.
At my age (LeBron’s age) I need low cut, light but padded cushioning in my performers.

I still can’t wrap my mind around it being a low top for 200$ when historically his mids/highs were 175-200 while the Lows were always 40$ cheaper…Guess yesterdays price is not todays price

The lows have had scaled down tech, but if these have some kinda souped up Zoom strobel set up then maybe I can see the $200 price tag.

It’s really sad to me how sneaker culture is now. Yeah I know culture has always been crazy. But this era seems to wish shoes sold out or they don’t want them. Ish crazy. I just want a shoe that’s dope to me idc. Even if they sitting ducks or sell out in 30 seconds. I just want the shoe. Can’t even buy Kobe’s no more because of these punk b’s. Last 200$ lows we got were kobe 8/9 and they were introducing fly wire to basketball amid Kobe’s Achilles return.. And then the Adapts which they added self lacing to the sneakers. Even the retro 11s lows that just dropped are sitting close to a fsr at 190..I think with a 200$ price tag we looking at back to back full season discos except limited releases

Agreed. Especially in a performance model. I don’t even really want it connected to an athlete. Which is why I wish the Zoom GT Cut and hopefully the Zoom GT Cut 2 is more available to the general public

If these are in fact the Lebron 20, I’m thankful Nike will help me save money. Very much a non-sig Lebron looking shoe and they look lazy af. Plus I love visible air and higher cuts. Big pass for me
