It's wild the Switch really feels like a Wii type phenomenon, but a slower burn so it'll last. And obviously more of the real deal

I don't know how Nintendo will ever make a new console. How can you possibly come up with something new than a console you can play handheld or traditionally docked that's selling extremely well?

I have this thought all the time when playing my Switch

The only thing I can think of is coming out with basically a more powerful version of the Switch which I wouldn't mind and would shell out money for easy

But if they ever go away from this handheld/console hybrid it'll seem like a downgrade

Yo what's up with your boy in that review. Definitely don't agree with his review, its making me want to purchase the game now to see what he did not like about the game. Seems he likes rpgs that hold your hand. Xenoblade was considered a generation game the FF Vii of the new Era to some people.

I almost stopped reading after his first paragraph
I didn’t love the first Xenoblade Chronicles, a 2010 Wii game from veteran director Tetsuya Takahashi and his team at Monolith Soft. I hated the boring do-gooder Shulk and his dull screeching about the power of the Monado, and the world’s impressive scale didn’t make up for its rote combat system. I skipped 2015’s Xenoblade Chronicles X but have been looking forward to Xenoblade 2 for a while, in hopes that the man behind Xenogears, one of my favorite games of all time, might have returned to form. It brings me no joy to report that he has not.

I'm going to read some more of his reviews but he's getting killed in the comment section

Yeah it seems like people are against him on this one. I haven't played and Xeno games so I can't agree or disagree with his his sentiment on not liking the first one or skipping XCX. I'm still going to get X2 but I want to play and finish BotW first.

I think people are overreacting just a bit too. Every reviewer isn't going to always agree with the masses. I always find it weird that reviews all tend to be similiar all across the board. Also accordimg to OpenCritic, he gave the game an 84 which isn't bad at all.

Here's some more of his reviews

Most video reviews I’ve seen said the game is pretty good, I seen 10-15 hours in the game your still getting tutorials

I want the game but holding off on buying it cause I still got Skyrim and breath of the wild but I may just cop it anyway

Highly recommend to subscribe to Nintendo Force magazine for those who miss or missed out on the Nintendo Power magazine. A lot of the editors are originals and started NF as a spiritual successor.

It’s only 5 bux (Patreon) and it releases every other month. https://www.patreon.com/NintendoForce

So my first Switch game is on the way... Xenoblade Chronicles 2 SE. Still don't have a Switch but I wanted to make sure I didn't miss the LE version of the game. Still not enough out for me to invest in the system, only other game I want to play right now is Mario, and eventually SMT, but I am gonna wait for a real LE system before I jump in. Been burned by Nintendo too many times to be an early adapter.
