Mossberg 590 Shockwave

I bought a glock 21 on GP the other day.... .45 and 10mm is still readily available everywhere. Figured it was time to pick up a cpl conversion kit guns. Def gunna grab a 10mm barrel/mags and heavier spring.

Imma make an appt for later today to see what people been trading but next I want a PCC.

Anyone have a Taurus G3 or G2C?

My man was asking me about a first gun, but he doesn't want to pay for a Glock, Sig, CZ, H&K...

All the reviews I've seen and read have it as a good gun for $250. I've never actually used one, and now all the ranges are closed.

Their both great guns. Have to be. Dont own one but I've seen them reviewed ad nauseam and everybody says the same things. Good lil guns.... they've been out long enough for comprehensive review too. Alotta ppl with 5k plus rds thru them

shipped way faster than expected

Nice. Looking to buy a shotgun soon for home protection.
I am honestly ignorant on this subject. I blame it on living in NY.

What are some good resources for info? Decent models, price, ECT.

no sweat, theres a million to choose from for 500 and under, tho 99/100 ppl will tell you to get the Rem 870 or a Mossberg 500

its what the pros use, tried and true. its really hard to **** up a pump shotgun tho. for 500 you could get a decent entry level semi auto. wont be m4 or SLP levels but a Stoeger m3000 or one of the tristar imports should be rock solid. but if you dont mind buying chinese the hatsans are honestly fine. ugly and clunky sure, reliable and sturdy tho

alot of places are out of stock and low on stock online tho. gunna hafta find local atm

Yeah, I'm going local.
I'm going to South shore sportsman in LI this weekend to see what they have.

I wanted a maverick 88 because the after market scene is really good and it's reliable and a good value. Didn't have any in stock last month when guns were getting scooped up left and right. Went with a Savage 320 for 20 bucks cheaper plus it came with a pistol grip which I wanted and would have cost extra on the Maverick. I'm happy with it but still need to get out and fire it.

Want a handgun have no idea where to start....

Help?

identify why you want a pistol, whether you’ll carry etc

hit a local shop and get some hands on time with different models and see what feels good to you

if you have ranges open in your area take a morning or afternoon to get some rounds off through different guns in different calibers and see what you like

Both home and possibly carry. (Ohio) Been looking into compacts. Sort of have an idea of good v bad brands but would like suggestions on an entry level with best value. Wanna stay below 450-500.

Planning on hitting a range in the next couple of days.

Something plain and barebones single stack not sure on caliber....

Glad I found this post (NTers are typically more well versed than most Internet forums)

Look at Glock 43 or Sig 365 (single stack)
Im biased to Glock because thats what we carry overseas (G19)

Home defense, I would go with a shotgun mainly because it doesn't require much tactics (point x shoot), which is key in a high stress situation like home invasion, I know some have CQB rifles/pistols but thinking big picture if I was not home or incapacitated, I know my wife or kid could effectively use a shotgun vs a rifle under high stress scenario.
