Some say 7 mil less than the max another says 9 mil less at 120 for 5 years. The most recent is 122 though.
Either way I don't see why Melo would want less than the max or near it. Yeah, there's letting the team be flexible cuz of the cap but taking less only makes sense when these other stars are signing with your team the same time not on some wait and see what we do next year ****.
For all the hate MIA's Big 3 got for teaming up it seems the side effect reaction that's spread across the fans of the league is for superstars to all now take less money when they deserve the most to sign other dudes as if it aint these GMs offering max money like lunatics (see these deals since Friday) or offering what a player is actually worth.
Last I checked with the new CBA no team can sign 3 max players and to sign 2 max players the same time you gotta dump the rest of the roster first and then go over the cap signing dudes to vet min like deals.
