Still no details on Melo's deal?

I think he took the deal that drops 7.5% in the second year based on Phil's comments.
Wasn't it 5 years $122 mil?

I have a feeling down the line people are going to be mad with this deal. Max contracts and the Knicks...not a good mix so far.

If Melo starts getting hurt missing games or his production goes down then the contract talk will surface. Otherwise Phil da gawd will get a pass.

How can they though? they wanted Melo, and he's unquestionably a max player, case closed. Ain't no questions like Allan Houston (Spree>H20). Whatever happens, happens.

people are going to mad about the knicks regardless :rolleyes

we should sign okafor though. we need a rebounder. frankly, we need a center period.

Dude on twitter said, the Bargnani deal might not have been the worst trade made in NY last year.....Brooklyn's trade might have been worst.

Hit the Alonzo gif immediately
alonzo gif meaning he's right, right?

because he is. camby and q rich were immediately released I believe. novak was worth a little something with his 3 ball but might have been the worst defender I've ever seen in life. the 2 second rounders are kind of a wash to me because we got 2 of them in a deal this year and in 2017 if phil really want one again i dont think it'll be hard to get.

that leaves the first round pick. so Bargs for a first rounder, basically. Thats not completely terrible. To look on the bright side, he had some decent moments and still has potential for some if he stays, and then he expires. the biggest negative is his salary prevented us from making moves THIS offseason.

The nets gave up Gerald Wallace who I'd take on my bench any day, marshon brooks who I'd probably take a flyer on too, kris humphries, who is only disliked because of his reputation and I wouldnt mind on my bench either, and THREE, count them, THREE, first rounders. for Terry only to release him before seasons end, pierce only for him to dip out after one season, and KG.

This is the first time I REALLY analyzed that trade, and it is ******* brutal. Billy King should not have a job right now.
Totally agree 3 first rounders set that franchise back probably 5-10 years...

Lets not forget that year before that stellar trade he traded Gerald Wallace for a first rounder which turned out to be Damien Lilliard.... :x

Ouch! I didn't know that first round pick ended up being Damien Lillard.

I guess it shouldn't matter, right? It's not like the Nets would've drafted him anyway. They already had enough confidence in Deron at the time before all the ankle troubles.

I'm not gonna give it away but look who made appearances in this ad, watch all the way...P.S: Mets fans will find it funny also :lol

Wow, powerful commercial.

Carmelo, Phil Jackson and his *****. MJ, was that Action Bronson???? Hahhahahaha, a lot of cameos.

Ad gave me goosebumps.

As a lifelong Bronxite who was around for the first Jeter/Torre championships, that was too much real life.
