See Sac Kings, Clev Cavs, and whatever other team of jesters you can find.

this

i also agree that orlando isnt a bunch of clowns...dwight does his thing before the games kinda like what shaq did but NEVER during a game and thats the problem with the cavs...Lebron the unquestioned captain of the cavs was also the maestro of all the antics and dancing etc...its like what kinda message are you setting as a leader of the team?

What's the worse message

- dance routines

- pre game gambling routines until the morning

?

the better teams win. When you act a certain way and do certain things, you better have the game to back it up. Those that do, get passes. Those that don't get these labels.
the difference with gambling and partying all night OFF THE COURT and dance routines DURING THE GAME...as a leader of the team you lead by example so it gives the rest of the team an indication that its ok to do that when its not...like what dub said bron can turn off the jokes and hyjinx into beast mode but others cant...basically the problem was that there was no authorative figure in that team which was mike brown and the cavs organizations fault for letting those antics get out of hand like that

think of it this way you can fool around do whatever you want off clock but during work you gotta stay focused and do work

you never saw guys like mike, magic, bird, and kobe doing any dancing in the sidelines DURING A GAME...but you saw them getting in guys faces for not focusing instead or leading by example

The 2002 Kings were not a bunch of Jokesters.....

So you guys basically think it's a LeBron issue? And If he goes to the Knicks or the Bulls those teams can't win if he brings the dancing along with him, right? Even if he landed in Miami with Wade and turned America Airlines Arena into South Beach's newest night club, they couldn't win because they'd tighten up?
dancing in the sidelines DURING A GAME

Can I say Brandon Jennings will never win now? If so, I'm so glad I finally get my validation on the topic of this guy,  cause I saw that dude do it this year...he even started singing on the bench during a playoff game
eek.gif

I don't know if you want to use that same logic between football and basketball
nah CP says you can't. And well, clowns won in college hoops too before, so it effectively makes it strictly an NBA issue.
the difference is that they backed it up and still won ball games.
that's the difference in everything. wins and losses change all perception.

Or winners either.

Cheap shot?  I'm sorry, it was just sitting there.  Forgive me please.

Still waiting Allen, just name me the team.

Soon as a team wins with a bunch of Mark Madsen's then I won't have this arugment now will I?  But since there still isn't one, this stands.

Just name that team.

you're going off the premise that because something has never been done it can never be done. Even though it's been done in other sports.

Should we turn off every NBA playoff series when a team is down 0-3? I mean, it's never been done before, so it never can occur.

Do you have a reason why this is strictly an NBA issue?

  No clue.

Best guess?  Stars win this league more then any other.  Albert Pujols can't do any good in the 9th inning if the 7-8-9 hitters are up.
Football can't rely on stars when their are 22 starters, and if your defense is on the field, Joe Montana isn't gonna be able to save you.

NBA, stars on the court the whole time.  BOTH sides of the ball, and every 24 seconds, you get the ball back.  (mostly)
It also has the fewest players on a team, and on the court.

I've already said, reason teams don't win isn't because of dancing, but I know for damn sure no team of tinkerbells has evern won anything.  LA was about revenge last year.  The Celts were a hungry big 3.  Spurs?  I mean, Tim Duncan?  Do I need to go on?
laugh.gif
Dude would hit game winners and just sorta walk back to the bench.
laugh.gif
But they were all stoic, just win, no flash.  Wade and the refs won before that.  (for all my conspiracy homies

) You know damn well no dancin goin on in Detroit.  LA?  Nope.  Shaq is a fool of a clown, but with Phil and Horry and Fox, Fish and crew, that team was business.  MJ and his lot.  Rodman was the biggest clown ever, still no dancin or fake photos or practicin his handshakes before games with 11 team members.  The dream, nope.  Bad boys?  Nope.  Showtime?  Big smiles, lotta fun, rip your heart out to win.  Bird's Celts?  Whitest team to ever win, still no dancing.  Dr J 6ers?  No sir.  And that's all the way to 1980.

It just has not happened.  All of them have quirks, they all have rituals, they all were up to something.  None of them posed on the bench for fake bowling.  No birthday cakes.  No 88 handshake salutes.  No dancing a jig on the sidelines.  No eye patches when they make a single shot in the first quarter and play Godfather music.  None of it.  I'm not sure why you are having a hard time with that.  Now an accomplished NBA writer just wrote damn near word for @#$%^& word what I have said for 2 years, and still you have issues with it.

And hey, if a series is 3-0, then yeah, it's over.  Same/same.  Nobody done it, then you can claim it.  Until it happens, that's the way it goes is it not?  How you gonna fight the grain on something that has never been done before?  Nobody's ever scored 50 in 10 straight games.  Expecting it any time soon?  Well then, what's different here?

lebron will get destroyed if he's dancing all over MSG. way before the playoffs even start, by fans and media. I assume chicago fans and media wouldn't appreciate it either. And Noah would slap him

Why yes, astute police blotter readers, that was the father of Boston's Marquis Daniels getting removed from his seat, Tasered, and arrested during last night's game.

Orlando police responded to what's only being described as a "disturbance" in the seating behind the basket, late in game 2. They tried to escort out Willie Buie, who responded, "I'm not going, !%%* you." More officers responded, and took Buie to a security office. There, they tried to handcuff Buie, who resisted. He was then shocked with a Taser for five seconds.

Buie, who's got quite the rap sheet (including murder, jeez), was charged with resisting arrest. He was clearly upset about his son's DNP.
LeBron Has Had Say In Cleveland's Trades
James_LeBron_cle.jpg
LeBron James has had a lot of power in Cleveland, according to ESPN The Magazine's Ric Bucher.

Sources told Bucher that James vetoed trades he didn't like for theCavaliers, while pushing other deals through that he thought would helpthe team.

Any team that signs LeBron will likely have to set a basis for how much power he'll have in the front office.

Bulls owner Jerry Reinsdorf never gave that type of power to Michael Jordan, so it's doubtful he'd give it to James.

Dolan doesn't get mentioned but Reinsdorf does

these dudes are pushing for the bulls hard. i see you with the slick comments and omissions ESPN

this is for OC. now he can make himself believe it was all lebrons fault

So, how about this scenario..

What if Bron goes to Miami with Wade. Does the same rule apply if Lebron and Wade plays around, but they end up winning a championship? Or, what if Lebron plays around and Wade doesn't? There both high level players, so what are the rules for that?

Last thing I'll say on the topic for forever, I understand where CP you're coming from and anyone else. I just don't think it's a factor and I don't think we're gona change each others minds, ever. However the Cavs went out, I'm just happy it happened.

Ama're better put 25+ points and 12+ rebounds tonight after talking about how Odom was lucky.

It's %$$%%$ up I see anyone dancing on the court and smiling or joking around I think "CP must be hating this %!#! right now."

For such a great shooter, it's a damn shame that Nash doesn't look for his own shot more often.

If he did, they'd be a much more dangerous team.

Not just now, but since he joined the Suns. MORESO now because they have fewer weapons then they had before.
