Official 007 "Skyfall" Thread. Out Now!

Craigs wears the HELL out of those suits man.

On another note maybe im crazy but I liked quantum of solace better, they were both great to me but like someone else said casino royale was too much love story
Funny thing is when I saw QoS in theateres, after the movie this woman said the same thing. She said Casino Royale was too much of a love story. That part was necessary though as a learning lesson and it's hard not to fall in love with Vesper :wow:. Eva Green would make me weak too.

Did anyone else dress nice when they went to see QoS? I did. I'll probably just wear a nice sweater, coat and gloves when Skyfall comes out .

New trailer has me hyped. Daniel Craig plays the brooding role very well. Brosnan was more the womanizer-type but Craig has actually grown on me significantly.

Quantum of Solace disappointed the **** outta me, but after hearing that the writer's strike meant they didn't have a script and it was just Daniel Craig and the director adlibbing and crossing their fingers, I think they'll get back to that Casino Royale form.

Trailer was awesome!!!

Was I the only one who thought Javier Bardem looked like a clown with that blond hair though?
Yeah, the hair doesn't really work on him. He's also really pale. Maybe they were going for an albino look.

If I was rich I'd dress like Bond everyday and drive around an Aston Martin 8). Bond is such a boss.

Looking forward to it, but I think we'll look back on Javier Bardem's blonde hair as being ridiculously corny in a few years.

Craig is actually my favorite Bond. Hope he stays around and does more.

He signed on for 5 more films. With the way his hair is looking, he might need to wear a hairpiece like Connery and Dalton did in future movies. If people were so against a blond Bond, I wonder how they'd feel about a bald Bond.

I can't wait to see this flick. Bardem is going to be a great villain. Slashfilm.com posted a story regarding feedback from an IMDb user that saw a test screening of Skyfall. They said the film was great. Link & story below...

‘Skyfall’?; Venice Reactions to Terrence Malick’s ‘To the Wonder’
Posted on Tuesday, September 4th, 2012 by Angie Han

With Labor Day weekend marking the end of the summer movie season — actually, make that the traditional end of summer, period — it’s time to look ahead at the fall and winter offerings on the horizon.

We’ve got early buzz on two very different entertainments coming up, Terrence Malick‘s To the Wonder and Sam Mendes‘ Skyfall. The former made its debut at Venice this past weekend to divided audiences, while the latter has apparently begun test screenings in London. Read more after the jump.

We’ll start with Skyfall. After literally years of rumor and speculation, we’ve been dying to see how Daniel Craig‘s third outing as the legendary MI6 agent turns out. Happily, if this very early reaction can be trusted, it sounds like it’s turning out very well indeed. IMDb user lizze-sandy81 claims to have seen a three-hour test screening cut of the Bond film, and has posted their very positive, very detailed reaction in the forums.

Keep in mind that we don’t know much about lizze-sandy81, so it’s tough to gauge the veracity of their account, especially as we haven’t come across any other test screening responses at this point. The other usual caveats apply as well: We aren’t familiar with lizze-sandy81′s tastes, so there’s no guarantee we (or you) would agree with their opinion even assuming all the facts are accurate; test screenings by definition show unfinished works so the version they saw won’t necessarily be the one that hits theaters.

All that said, lizze-sandy81′s glowing response seems like a promising sign. You can read the full-length post here, but be warned that spoilers abound, especially in the responses. To give you a more general, less revealing idea of their review, I’ve compiled some quotes below:

It’s honestly the best looking Bond film ever.

The one thing that is evident though, is that Daniel Craig just owns James Bond.[...] He is way comfortable in this role, and it shows in this flawless performance. We actually get under the skin of the character more so than in Casino Royale.

Javier Bardem is just totally creepy as Silva, easily the best Bond villain since well… Goldfinger.

The last half an hour is by far the most emotionally draining and action packed aspect of the entire film. In fact, any Bond film.

The thing that struck me about this film is that it’s laugh out loud funny at times. The dialogue is crisp and genuinely funny, but it still manages to keep in touch with Daniel Craigs incarnation of Bond. The best way I can describe it is that it’s a black comedy drama film, with brilliant action and fantastic performances.

The film is nearly 3 hours long, and there’s too much talking in some scenes.[...] The thing I didn’t like though was Naomi Harris. Her acting is really bad in some scenes and her performance really does drag the film down.[...] I wasn’t too keen on Berenice Marhole either. Her acting was fine, but there was something about her that was too Vesper.

lizze-sandy81 also had great things to say about Ralph Fiennes and Ben Whishaw‘s performances, as well as Mendes’ direction (“for the first time since Casino Royale, the films action is doesn’t feel pointless and moves the plot along smoothly”). Again, it’s wisest to take this in with a big fat grain of salt for now, but it’s heartening to see that Skyfall seems to be off to a good start.

Preview of Adele's Skyfall theme is available...Anyone know how to embed a sound cloud file?

I'm pretty sure he's already using a hairpiece - I've seen some pictures of him where his hairline has receded a lot more than when you see him on screen.
