speaking of the Dolphins, Earl reminds me of someone the Dolphins drafted. He's like his spitting image.
Jason Allen.

those two are the exact same player IMO.
You think so? To me Jason Allen was a jack of all trades master of none and Earl Thomas is really good at a few things. Both of them are tweeners for different reasons but at least Earl Thomas never hurt his hip. Anyway I would take Nate Allen over Earl Thomas because I have no idea how I am going to use Earl on my team and I think alot of teams will have the same problem.

Why didnt Taylor Mays run his 40 at the pro day? was he satisfied with that 4.43?
2010 draft offensive line rankings
Posted by Evan Silva on April 1, 2010 3:20 PM ET

1. Russell Okung, Oklahoma State.

The Cowboys led the Big 12 in rushing in each of Okung's four seasons as a starter, and he possesses ideal athleticism, arm length, and strength to be a mainstay on the blind side.

Draft Prediction: ********, No. 4 overall.

2. Bryan Bulaga, Iowa.

The Big Ten Offensive Lineman of the Year has quick feet, resembles Joe Thomas in terms of build (6'6/315) and athleticism, and is NFL-ready coming from Kirk Ferentz's pro-style offense.

Draft Prediction: Chiefs, No. 5 overall.

3. Anthony Davis, Rutgers.

Davis has battled weight problems throughout his career and hasn't had a stellar offseason, but the 20-year-old offers as much upside as any offensive tackle in the draft.

Draft Prediction: Seahawks, No. 6 overall.

4. Trent Williams, Oklahoma.

Williams started 40 games as a Sooner and projects as a Pro Bowl-caliber right tackle if he doesn't pan out as a long-term solution on the left side.

Draft Prediction: Raiders, No. 8 overall.

5. Mike Iupati, Idaho.

Iupati struggled when asked to play tackle at the Senior Bowl, but plays with the necessary mean streak and size (6'5/325) to be a difference-making left guard.

Draft Prediction: Giants, No. 15 overall.

6. Charles Brown, USC.

A converted tight end, Brown started only two years for Pete Carroll but would be the perfect fit at left tackle in a zone-blocking scheme thanks to elite athleticism.

Draft Prediction: Packers, No. 23 overall.

7. Vladimir Ducasse, UMass.

The Haiti native didn't learn football until he moved to the U.S. in 2002, but Ducasse has drawn comparisons to Jeff Otah at 6-foot-5, 326 pounds with long arms and a powerful base.

Draft Prediction: Rams, No. 33 overall.

8. Maurkice Pouncey, Florida.

The 2009 Rimington Award winner made starts at both guard and center during his UF career, and projects as a long-term starter at either position regardless of scheme.

Draft Prediction: Eagles, No. 55 overall.

9. Bruce Campbell, Maryland.

Campbell started only 17 games in college and never made All-ACC, but may be the most physically impressive offensive lineman in this year's draft.

Draft Prediction: 49ers, No. 49 overall.

10. Rodger Saffold, Indiana.

Opinions differ on whether Saffold will land at guard or tackle, but he manned the blind side for 41 career starts as a Hoosier and has enjoyed a big offseason.

Draft Prediction: Cardinals, No. 58 overall.

11. Tony Washington, Abilene Christian.

Washington is the prototype left tackle at 6-foot-6 and 311 pounds with 35.5-inch arms, but being a registered sex offender will hurt him on draft weekend.

Draft Prediction: Steelers, No. 116 overall.

12. Jon Asamoah, Illinois.

A nasty interior run blocker, Asamoah made 37 straight starts to close out his Fighting Illini career before unfortunately fracturing his shoulder blade in pre-draft workouts.

Draft Prediction: Broncos, No. 80 overall.

13. Jason Fox, Miami.

A 48-game starter for the Hurricanes, mostly at left tackle, Fox allowed just one sack as a senior and has impressive measurables, but has been injury prone of late.

Draft Prediction: Bills, No. 72 overall.

14. Zane Beadles, Utah.

Beadles' short arms will likely force a position switch, but the longtime Utes left tackle is heady (3.54 GPA), athletic, and made 50 career starts.

Draft Prediction: Colts, No. 94 overall.

15. J.D. Walton, Baylor.

In a draft class that's fairly thin on true interior offensive linemen, Walton stands out as a powerful technician who started every game of his college career.

Draft Prediction: Vikings, No. 93 overall.

1. Russell Okung, Oklahoma State.

The Cowboys led the Big 12 in rushing in each of Okung's four seasons as a starter, and he possesses ideal athleticism, arm length, and strength to be a mainstay on the blind side.

Draft Prediction: ********, No. 4 overall.
Receiver Dez Bryant meets with Miami Dolphins

Dez Bryant, the elite receiver of the 2010 draft, meets with Dolphins officials.
The Miami Dolphins met with Oklahoma State receiver Dez Bryant on Thursday night in "a get to know you session" that will carry over until Friday, according to league sources.

The Dolphins, who pick 12th in the first round, could use a dynamic player such as Bryant, who is viewed by most evaluators as the draft's top receiver.

However, the Dolphins front office tends to stay away from high-maintenance players, especially when they are a receiver. They've even created a term for them, referring to the Terrell Owens' of the NFL as "diva receivas."

Bryant's draft stock is sliding because of questions about his character, complicated upbringing, work ethic and commitment to football.

Since the draft process began, Bryant, who was suspended for most of last season because he lied to the NCAA investigators, has faced rumors that he skipped meetings, classes and was late for games while at OSU.

"I don't look for trouble. I don't find trouble or none of that stuff. I'm not a troublemaker," Bryant said this week. "Just because I've experienced bad things, that don't make me a bad person. That don't make my mom a bad person. My mom overcame a lot of adversity just as well as I have."

Bryant's sit-down with the Dolphins allowed him to state his case. He has a meeting with Parcells scheduled for Friday. Last season, the Dolphins sat down with Patrick Turner and Brian Hartline in a similar setting before selecting those two receivers in the 2009 draft.

The Dolphins, who are seeking a big-play receiver, could certainly use Bryant's services. Not only did he average 16.5 yards per reception (2,425 total receiving yards) in the 28 games he played for OSU, but he scored 29 touchdowns and was a dynamic returner.

"I just think we need good players. When I say that, we have a lot of good players on our team right now. We want to take good players. But at the end of the day, we have to be concerned with all the other things that are out there," Dolphins coach Tony Sparano said last week when asked about Bryant, who is 6 feet 2, 225 pounds. "He has different issues, and we have to do our due diligence that way. But we have to take good players."

Judge Allows Joe Jurevicius To Pursue Lawsuit Against The Browns
A federal judge ruled Wednesday that former Cleveland Browns wide receiver Joe Jurevicius can proceed with his claims against the team in state court for incurring a staph infection at the team's training facility two years ago. U.S. District Judge Solomon Oliver Jr. said the Browns' contention that the case should be dismissed outright because of an NFL collective bargaining agreement, which has an arbitration procedure, was not valid. Jurevicius also said in his suit that because the Browns failed to address the staph infection problem at their training facility, he may never be able to play professional football again.

If Kellen Winslow was smart he'd get in on this too

I have little knowledge of what a staph infection is/does, but

at CLE for the neglect towards their own employees.
And if Joe Jurevicious actually can't play because of his illness than,

and:{

Let's be real, his skills were diminished by the time he went to CLE...but still, that's a terrible way to handle the situation by CLE...

It's disgusting and the Browns deserve everything they got coming their way over this...
Police say Holmes accuser to cooperate
ESPN.com news services

The Florida college student who has accused Steelers receiver Santonio Holmes of throwing a glass at her and causing a minor laceration to her face will cooperate with police after all.

Orlando police Sgt. Barbara Jones told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette in an e-mail that the case regarding Holmes and the 21-year-old woman, Anshonae Mills, has been reopened.

"Ms. Mills came to the Orlando Police Department yesterday and wants to prosecute, and the case has been reactivated," Jones wrote Thursday.

Holmes' attorney maintained Thursday his client had not assaulted Mills, the Post-Gazette reported, and said a private investigator was working to help on their defense of the case.

"We adamantly deny her allegations in that complaint," Adam B. Swickle said, according to the report. "We do plan on contesting everything."

Swickle told the newspaper he was unaware of any criminal investigation.

Holmes denied to the police that he hurt Mills and claimed another woman hit her with the glass.

Holmes told an Orlando police officer that Mills grabbed his wrist, got in his face and called him a racial name after he asked for his seat back in the VIP section of Club Rain earlier this month.

Mills told a different story in a civil lawsuit she filed last week against 26-year-old Holmes. In the lawsuit, she claimed that the Super Bowl MVP got in her face and then hit her with the glass after she refused to give up her seat.

In the nightclub, Holmes told Mills to get up and move, said Jacques Cooper, the woman's attorney.

"When she refused, Mr. Holmes began to get more belligerent and more aggressive in an attempt to get our client to move from the area, which he claimed was his," Cooper said.

Mills had a quarter-inch abrasion above her right eye but refused medical attention, according to a police report.

After both Mills and Holmes were escorted out of the nightclub, Mills asked the police officer if she could speak to Holmes alone, the police report said.

Holmes agreed to speak with her and they walked several feet away. The police officer saw Mills smiling and rubbing Holmes' face, according to the police report.

A short time later, Mills told the police officer that she didn't want to press charges, the police report said. In the lawsuit, Mills claimed Holmes and a police officer intimidated Mills so she wouldn't press charges.

Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.

J. Meric/GettyIn his two seasons with the Jets, Jay Feely handled kickoff and field goal duties, and even punted in a wild-card round playoff game last January.

Unrestricted free agent kicker Jay Feely has agreed to terms on deal with the Arizona Cardinals, according to a person familiar with the situation. The person requested anonymity because he is not authorized to speak on behalf of either side. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Feely, who spent the past two seasons with the Jets, visited with Arizona last month after Rex Ryan’s club signed free agent Nick Folk.

The 33-year-old Feely made of 30 of 36 field goals last season, but missed a pair of them in the AFC Championship game against the Colts.

With the mercurial Folk as the only kicker on the Jets roster, former Cardinals kicker Neil Rackers could be a viable option for Ryan’s team. Rackers, a Pro Bowler in 2005, made 16 of 17 field goals last season.
