I love the fact that this team was ripped for its defense after the trade. I feel like they won't just talk about it next year and actually come through and put forth the effort.

Had it not been for the injuries, we would have beaten the celtics. We saw how evenly matched we were with both the bulls and the heat. This team could have ended up in the ecf. I need to let it go but I can't

I'm hoping that every players on both the Bulls and Heat are suspended for violating the drug policy and the winner of the Western Conference Finals becomes the NBA Champion by default

People close to Dwight Howard say that his wish list includes Lakers, Mavericks, Nets, and Knicks. If I'm part of Knicks Management, I would do anything in my power to trade for Howard because it would be unlikely to sign him in 2012 (due to the cap and trying to sign Paul as well). Orlando would try to get the best value which means we would have to trade STAT, if it's possible, we HAVE to trade STAT in a heartbeat. The thing about the Lakers & Mavs is the fact that they are getting older and their promise isn't as attractive as what the Knicks and Nets can offer.  If we somehow trade STAT for D12 no doubt in my mind we would sign Chris Paul next summer.
PG C.Paul

SG Who cares

SF C.Anthony

PF Who Cares

C Dwight Howard

Quite honestly, with that lineup we would be championship contenders immediately. Sorry, STAT is good but anyone is replaceable for someone like D12, I'm a Knicks fan first.

obviously i'm rooting for the bulls. there is no shame losing to the best man that ever played and scottie. But rooting for a fake king that played us when he was never coming and spies that had this planed out for quit some time? nope

I'm rooting for the Heat. There's no way I root for Chicago, ever. Unless they're playing Boston.

I'm not rooting for either which is just a dumb notion but Miami losing on the big stage to OKC sounds much better to me than the Bulls being in the finals. Bulls fans would actually feel their team actually accomplished something then.

ORL does not want STAT. They'd take LO and Bynum before that, then look at a Nets offer before they'd decide to help the Knicks. Plus trading DWill to Dallas may give Cuban the idea he could convince a hometown guy.

Trading Stat would be type grimey and I don't think Walsh would do it..

But having top 3 PG, SF, & best center in the league on your team .. man

NOTHING in 2011 is ever a secret when trying to make deals, so if the Knicks' try to offer STAT to the Magic on the low and a team like the Lakers offers a better package, STAT's admiration and respect for the organization will be nonexistent. The realistic odds of us getting him for STAT and some other bum when the Lakers can offer Bynum and Odom are extremely slim and taking the risk of offending a player that is locked in for another 4 years making $80 million is not something I can be ok with. Unless the Lakers and Mavs publicly say they will not trade any of their key players for Howard, I don't think we put STAT out there like that

I say trade STAT if the deal is right. I love dude don't get me wrong - but I know we can aquire a young dude that can run for another 5 years with Melo if offer him to the right team. If somehow we can convince Orlando to do a sign & trade.

By the way, I'm rooting for the Bulls. D.Rose is my dude and I can't stand the queen and the rest of that team.

Good point, but the point I'm trying to make is, what if Dwight Howard decides that the Lakers and Mavs are not for him, if he wants it between the younger and more promising Nets & Knicks. The Orlando Magic would have no choice but to accept STAT. As far as the speculation and media hooplah if ever this trade was being discussed, STAT and D12 would just have to get over it, their big boys.

In any Big 3 scenario for us somebody is adjusting their contract to get paid less or the last guy added is not getting the max.

Melodrama all over again

I really want CP3 or Dwight now more than ever

This years ECF is the worst thing a Knicks fan could ever imagine

It would kill me to watch Miami and Chicago battle it out every year for a chance to go to the finals for the next 7-10 years on some Lakers and Spurs type $#@!

We NEED CP3 or Dwight if we want to win a chip within the next 3-4 years man

No way in hell MIA or CHI are going to be battling for the next 7-10 years. At this pace that the league is trastioning, an established team might get a good 4-5 years TOPS - if that. The NBA is different. Loyalty is a thing of the past.

Exactly

Btw, I'll take MeloDrama alllllll over again if it lands us Dwight Howard.

I honestly said goodbye to getting a Big 3 as soon as we traded for Melo. He's impatience and greed most likely cost us the chance of getting a full max either through signing or trading our pieces.

Unless he got word from CP3 that he would sign for 10 mil/year
laugh.gif
I just don't expect it to happen, especially with CBA uncertainty.

exactly. melo made his bed. i don't want to ever hear him say one word about needing more help.

If there is a hard cap we will have enough money because it will be raised. But then we will have practically no money left over. a team of melo, amare, CP and a bunch of nobodies won't work. who would rebound

Chicago might get Dwight... If the circumstances fall into place......
The cap situation has to end up right though...
Boozer, Gibson and some draft picks are more enticing than Stat at this point....
Boozer gets injured, but its not something that is particularly chronic like Amare's knees could become.
I dont know if im Orlando I make that deal, or really any deal involving Howard
On the Chicago side even if you win a title Dwight is an upgrade. The oppertunity to have potientally 4 core guys in Rose(which means Chicago virtually wont do the deal with a cap situation that would prevent them from signing him) Deng, Noah and Howard locked up together for the next 4 years at minimum is worth the risk ( which is no risk in having the discussions)
Dont get me wrong Stat is better than Boozer and Gibson as individuals, but the risk in a Amare, or a Bynum might be too high at this point.
Those are going to be the picks that Orlando uses to rebuild and eventually save money.
That is a terrible situation. If im the Magic though. I take a shot with Gibson and Boozer. Thats the best deal that doesnt involve someone with a chronic knee problem at this current juncture.

Heck Miami... could spoil the party for everyone. And Bosh still could have Value for Orlando if they wanted to retain playoff revenue.
Miami would do it because Howard is the best center in the league and servicable PF's are easier to find and they already have one.

Whaddown Fella's... I was coming in here to gage who you all hated more but it was already done for me...

I've read about the Dwight rabbit hole myself and I honestly think that if we were to be serious about getting him we could put together the best package for him but I'm not so sure it we have the nuts to do it.

We could offer our Noah (any deal we make for an elite player is going to have to include Noah), Boozer & the Charlotte pick for Dwight & Brandon Bass. Move Bass to the bench and start Taj and the line up would be amazing defensively but ehh...

Melo should've atleast gotten 3rd team over Horford as well... But you had to know they were going to punish him for the strangle hold he put on the league this season so
