we went from rambis forcing the triangle with calderon as our starting PG to horny with a faster pace offense with more P&R with d rose, melo, kp, and noah

this is not true ...

Porz can become a great 4 and finish as a 4 ....

Just like Tim Duncan when they had David.

Just cause you see a big man doesn't mean he has to be the 5 ala Dirk. Just saying.
Except that Porzingis isnt Dirk. He is much more versatile. Unlike Dirk, Porzingis is a 7'3 rim protector and a center. For the millionth time, your goal as a team should be to create mismatches when you can. This is done by playing Porzingis at center long term, where he can become a legitimate "stretch 5," something we have really never seen before in this league. Someone who can dunk on your team, shoot it from 3, and anchor a defense.

We have seen a million stretch 4s before. Plugging Porzingis in as a stretch 4 long term shuts down this entire mismatch/versatility idea that makes him so valuable. Not saying he cant play the 4, but his ceiling wouldnt be nearly as high as it would be playing the 5 in that he would be doing **** we have never seen before at center.

If Porzingis is able to defend the rim and anchor the defense adequately in the next year or 2, then there will be 0 point in pairing him with an aging Joakim Noah to hold down the rest of the team's pace and make us slower as a team, when we could be creating mismatches at even more spots. Like what the Warriors do but if they had someone who is 7 foot ******* 3.

For the life of me I cant understand how some of yall think Porzingis shouldnt be a center long term. Its like you are purposely willing to lower his enormous ceiling so Joakim Noah can get minutes. Luckily, both Porzingis and the Knicks front office seem to understand that he is a center long term. Because the kind of mismatches and versatile/athletic lineups you can create around Porzingis at the 5 without being hurt defensively is frankly ******* scary to think about... Pairing him with an again slowed down 7 footer though? Yeah not so exciting to think about especially in small ball NBA.

BTW did we even officially sign Noah yet? I still havent heard any official confirmation on anything.

This wrath out here right now, it's looking like the end if times, b.

Right before our championship season smh

Conley getting 153 :smh: Memphis just handcuffed themselves

so glad we made the Rose trade now. Seeing all the deals today, I think we are actually one of the only teams handling money with some type of sense

When was Dirk ever a center ?

Y'all forgot about Bradley, Lafrentz, Dampier, Tyson, Pachulia, etc. ?

So out of 153 mil Conley will see what 75-80 of it? These huge contracts are misleading in a way. Did anyone see the baseball players pay stub online? Dude made 820k with a net of 420k. Either way the league makin it rain today!
