Here is the draft position of Dwight Howard in 4 money leagues I'm involved in

(22) Dwight Howard
(25) Dwight Howard
(19) Dwight Howard
(17) Dwight Howard

You have 2 player's that shot above 80% from the line last year so once you add in Howard you in trouble there.
Turnovers is definitely going to be a problem.
Steals, assists and 3's are virtually none existent on your team.

So yeah I guess if your content on going 5-4 or 4-5 every week then I guess you could say you have a solid team. I'm just not seeing it.

Nah I think I did pretty damn good for the 5th pick in a 12 man draft... My assists needs work but no one is touching my scoring and rebounding tho.

you took Dwight (maybe even Yao AND Roy) too early. his TO and FT% is going to kill you. You could have gotten Dwight in the second maybe third round. Also, your team is going to be riddled with injuries...good luck. Your team is basically going to be strong in one, MAYBE two categories

Stop tooting your horn, your team isn't that good. You're going to lose assists every week too, and probably steals. Don't be so rude next time, just a heads up, that guy that posted is pretty much right. You have a lot of injury risks, and your 10-13 picks aren't great.

I'm gonna address this Dwight Howard pick... Since ya'll can't seem to let it go.
When I had the 6th pick my only choices were Dwight Howard or... Steve Nash, Shawn Marion, Dirk Nowitzki and PaulPierce

Steve Nash... He's good but he's hella old... How much does he have left in the tank? Plus his 6 min. break inthe 2nd and 4th quarter absolutely kills productive stats that other players of his caliber can get.

Shawn Marion... Wade and Beasley are gonna have the ball 90% of the time... Leaving Marion in the same situation as he was in PHX, feeling like a leftout superstar.

Dirk Nowitzki...I just don't like this dude and I thought it was absurd to waste a #1 on him.

Paul Pierce... Yeah, I'm good. He gets 20 a game but nothing else. Dwight Howard gets 20 a game plus 14 rebs.

Dwight Howard's stats:
20.7 pts.
14.2 rebs
2.1 blks
fg % .600

Now besides his FT's what the hell is wrong with Howard at #6??? Seems like ya'll hatin on dude and myself for no reason.
Look I know it was a risk to draft Howard at that pick but it was a risk I'm willing to take... Howard's upside out weighs his deficiancies on thecourt and it ain't even close... My dude could get 35 and 25 shooting a solid 60% from the field on any given day if he really wanted to and I don'tcare if he shoots 20% from the line.

Now if ya'll want me to address the rest of my line up just let me know and I'll do that too...

Besides Rudy Gay who else can the Grizz go to for offense???
Plus the Grizz have an uptempo style offense meaning alot of opportunites for Mayo to get assists and buckets.

Foye is soild...
The thing is the Wolves have a bunch of options with Big Al, Mike Miller, Rashad McCants and even Kevin Love.
Plus Mike Miller handles the rock alot taking even more touches away from Foye.

Man, stop acting like you know everything. The fact is that your team has holes... JapanAir pointed that out. WhatI got from your multiple posts were you being hella cocky. RideTillIDie and nonstoptalk basically hit the nail on the head with your team. As it stands right now, your team looks to be strong in abouttwo categories. Fantasy basketball isn't about having the best scoring and rebounding... it's also FG%, FT%, TO, BLKS, STLS, 3PTS, and AST.

Your team looks pretty well rounded. So I would keep it the way it is.
Even if Devin Harris doesn't blow up like he's supposed to, he'll still get you 15 and 6 every game. Which IMO is very good for a PG.

If I'm not mistaken Mike Dunleavy is injured so you won't get anything from him for a min... Plus TJ Ford is the new PG for Indiana taking the ballaway from Dunleavy even more. Andre Miller is solid but he's gonna split time with the young and emerging Louis Williams. Ronnie Brewer is a good pickupbut his stats won't be that much better than Jeff Green's.

You'd be giving up way too much value with Richard Jefferson... His FT's are legit and he can get you 5 boards a game. Even on an off night he'llstill get you 15-18 and he's the second scoring option behind Michael Redd.So he's gonna put up big numbers scoring wise every night.

Dwight is a top 5-10 pick ONLY in a league that does not count FT% and TOs. He's a 2nd-rounder with big upside at best.

What you fail to understand is that you draft a Fantasy Basketball TEAM. A team whereeveryone has roles. Your team can look like the Western Conference All-Stars on paper and still get straight spanked in Fantasy. Understanding what eachplayer brings to your team is vital to your fantasy success.


Bibby - 14 ppg and 6.5 apg as a Hawk last season. Pretty good value for a pg that I drafted in the 8th round. AndreMiller and Devin Harris were both taken in round 5. The stats say that Bibby has similar value and I was able to get him 3 rounds after those other two.

Bell - This pick pained me for one reason... I hate the Suns. Other thanthat Bell is a great late round value pick. He helps fill a major void on my team (2.5 3PTM) and he also contributes in other categories 12 ppg (career low) 4rpg and 2 asp and shot over 80% from the line last year.

Thomas - Jump on the bandwagon. QUICK. No seriously he's going to have a breakout year I promise you. Don'tbelieve me? Looked pretty good last night....
Game 1 Stats 10/28 MIL 15 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, 1 block, 2 turnovers

Collison - Big men that can get you 10-10 (well 9.8-9.4) and shoot over 50% from the field and over 70% from the linearen't that easy to find. Try it.....

Conley - Pegged as the starter in Memphis. As a rookie last season he averaged 10 ppg and 4.5 apg in games he startedlast year. Oh and in those games he started he only averaged 27 mpg. You should be able to draw you own conclusion from that....

Ronnie Turiaf - 6.6 ppg 3.9 rpg 1.9 asp Not flashy or even good fantasy stats BUT what many may not realize is that hewas Top 20 in Blocks last year and is playing with a Golden State team this year that is in desperate need of his defense. Bottom Line... it was the 13thround and he helped fill a void I had and if Thomas ends up blocking a bunch of shots like I think he might then I drop my 2nd to last pick. No big deal.

oh and then there is that washed up guy....

Kidd - He is a absolutely terrible shooter. (I actually find it hard to believe that he shot 42% with the Mavs lastyear) It actually pains me to watch him shoot. But this guy had 12 thats right 12 Triple-Doubles last year and his 6.5 rpg is absolutely unheard of from thepg position. But yea I'll take a washed up player like that any year.

Shawn Marion... Wade and Beasley are gonna have the ball 90% of the time... Leaving Marion in the same situation as he was in PHX, feeling like a left out superstar.

Dirk Nowitzki...I just don't like this dude and I thought it was absurd to waste a #1 on him.

Dirk - This right here is why I'll be willing to bet that you will never win at fantasy sports. Who cares if youlike Dirk? I don't necessary think he will do as well as he did last year but he is a solid pick at #6.

Marion - Same situation as he was in in PHX? So I guess you must be referring to the situation where he wasstatistically a top 3 fantasy player for many years.





The key to fantasy basketball is knowing what your weaknesses are and drafting/making moves accordingly. Look at THE STATS and tell me why you think playersare trash. Look at the stats and tell me why the players you drafted will help your team. Like I said before the goal isn't to assemble an All-Star squadthe goal is to draft a team that will give you a chance to win in 7-8 categories every week. Because when its the playoffs and your scorers aren'tscoring as much or your rebounder's aren't rebounding as good as they usually do what's going to be the back-up plan?

How the hell you gonna clown my teams FT shooting when three of your dudes is shooting 60%... Come on now.
I'm not even gonna talk about how washed up Jason Kidd is...

I have never seen anyone draft a worse team in my life...
Hope you didn't fade too much bread in this league cause IMO that's money gone...

The only mistake I think I made was drafting too many forwards...
But I can make one move on my roster and my squad would be even more beasty... That's to drop Chris Wilcox and swoop Rafer Alston... But I can't say the same for you fam you bout to get the bizness every week. Real Talk.

What you fail to understand is that you draft a Fantasy Basketball TEAM. A team where everyone has roles. Your team can look like the Western Conference All-Stars on paper and still get straight spanked in Fantasy. Understanding what each player brings to your team is vital to your fantasy success.


Bibby - 14 ppg and 6.5 apg as a Hawk last season. Pretty good value for a pg that I drafted in the 8th round. Andre Miller and Devin Harris were both taken in round 5. The stats say that Bibby has similar value and I was able to get him 3 rounds after those other two.

Bell - This pick pained me for one reason... I hate the Suns. Other than that Bell is a great late round value pick. He helps fill a major void on my team (2.5 3PTM) and he also contributes in other categories 12 ppg (career low) 4 rpg and 2 asp and shot over 80% from the line last year.

Thomas - Jump on the bandwagon. QUICK. No seriously he's going to have a breakout year I promise you. Don't believe me? Looked pretty good last night....
Game 1 Stats 10/28 MIL 15 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, 1 block, 2 turnovers

Collison - Big men that can get you 10-10 (well 9.8-9.4) and shoot over 50% from the field and over 70% from the line aren't that easy to find. Try it.....

Conley - Pegged as the starter in Memphis. As a rookie last season he averaged 10 ppg and 4.5 apg in games he started last year. Oh and in those games he started he only averaged 27 mpg. You should be able to draw you own conclusion from that....

Ronnie Turiaf - 6.6 ppg 3.9 rpg 1.9 asp Not flashy or even good fantasy stats BUT what many may not realize is that he was Top 20 in Blocks last year and is playing with a Golden State team this year that is in desperate need of his defense. Bottom Line... it was the 13th round and he helped fill a void I had and if Thomas ends up blocking a bunch of shots like I think he might then I drop my 2nd to last pick. No big deal.

oh and then there is that washed up guy....

Kidd - He is a absolutely terrible shooter. (I actually find it hard to believe that he shot 42% with the Mavs last year) It actually pains me to watch him shoot. But this guy had 12 thats right 12 Triple-Doubles last year and his 6.5 rpg is absolutely unheard of from the pg position. But yea I'll take a washed up player like that any year.

Shawn Marion... Wade and Beasley are gonna have the ball 90% of the time... Leaving Marion in the same situation as he was in PHX, feeling like a left out superstar.

Dirk Nowitzki...I just don't like this dude and I thought it was absurd to waste a #1 on him.

Dirk - This right here is why I'll be willing to bet that you will never win at fantasy sports. Who cares if you like Dirk? I don't necessary think he will do as well as he did last year but he is a solid pick at #6.

Marion - Same situation as he was in in PHX? So I guess you must be referring to the situation where he was statistically a top 3 fantasy player for many years.





The key to fantasy basketball is knowing what your weaknesses are and drafting/making moves accordingly. Look at THE STATS and tell me why you think players are trash. Look at the stats and tell me why the players you drafted will help your team. Like I said before the goal isn't to assemble an All-Star squad the goal is to draft a team that will give you a chance to win in 7-8 categories every week. Because when its the playoffs and your scorers aren't scoring as much or your rebounder's aren't rebounding as good as they usually do what's going to be the back-up plan?

I'm gonna break down the reason for my picks in just a sec... There are def. some moves I need to make before my season starts tho.
