The Wizards are so painful. Besides Wall, McGee and Trevor Booker... man...

Trade Blatche. Trade Yi. Re-trade Lewis. Cut Hilton Armstrong.

Boozer had 30, 10 and 7 in the win against them.

Love - 18 and 15 halfway through the third. Up 10 against Utah.

I just don't see the need to post in there when I can post everything here... And I've told yall, I'm beat down by this thing. They're playing great ball right now, but why should I believe it's anything different?

They're playing SIGNIFICANTLY better defense than in the past, and that's great. They've needed a presence like Chandler has given them in the middle for years... But Jason Terry is still their second most reliable scorer... Nothing is changing until that does.

People over on the other Mavs board were talking about whether or not they'd be down for Carmelo, and what the cost would be... You figure something like Butler, Stevenson, and Roddy B with picks or whatever would be in the ballpark of what the Mavs can do. And there were people DEAD SET against that idea... Like, wouldn't even discuss it. Um.. Why the +%%+ not?

I'm just beat down by it right now. I want a real shake up. Carmelo probably falls into that and gets my interest piqued again... Until then, I'm more interested in watching Blake Griffin, the Thunder, etc. than getting worked up about the Mavs right now. Give me a reason to be excited again. After all these years, 23-5 doesn't do it, regardless of how many good teams you've beaten with defense so far.

BTW... I've finally gotten all of my job-related work/reading/studying outta the way and dove into The Book of Basketball... About 100 pages in and I love it. I bought some sticky tabs and I'm marking anecdotes, theories, quotes, etc. to use as motivational and teaching tools when I finally start coaching..

Goodness gracious, gotta watch on mute

Doug Collins is a joke. Iguadala has been brutal all night, and Holiday is cooking whoever is guarding him, yet they basically give it to AI every possession they get in the last two minutes. Atrocious offense.

Funny dirk because I just started and have been marking down sections. Only 100 pages in.

Bill Simmons is a funny guy, and I love every shot at Wilt, VC, Rick Barry. His straight up dislike for people is hilarious.

There is a lot of great stuff in this book... Typically not a huge fan of Simmons, I just think his schtick is annoying. I know he's paid to be that guy, but I really wish he wasn't. When he's telling stories and really getting into the inner workings of things and breaking down basketball, the guy knows his stuff.
