League sources told FanHouse that the Bobcats and Portland have discussed a trade that would send beloved small forward Gerald Wallace to the Blazers with center DeSagana Diop and point guard D.J. Augustin in exchange for center Marcus Camby and point guard Andre Miller. And while the Blazers are exploring a litany of their own options and don't appear eager to do the deal as of now, the discussion that is one of many being had by the Bobcats reveals plenty about the sort of the on-court changes Jordan has in mind for his club. He wants a point guard not named D.J. Augustin who comes with a veteran's resume and a veteran big man who produces on both ends of the floor. But it's the final prerequisite that is by far the most problematic for most scenarios being considered, as he wants to significantly cut future salary just in time for the new landscape that will come with a new collective bargaining agreement.

Portland would trade for a guy nicknamed "Crash"

Yes Mike, I know that.  Again, organization is a damn joke.  They just got 18 million off the books, a few months after they let 100 million walk off the books, so they could give that 100 million to Josh Childress, Warrick and Channing @#$%^&* Frye.

But you think this 18 mil they saved will turn them around do you?

And yet they won't trade Steve Nash's 38 year old @#$ makin 10 mil a year.

My hate blinds me so, their organization is so well run, I'm jealous beyond all understanding.

They want to be cheap and they're looking to ship money out every year, but they're giving 5-year deals to Hakim Warrick and Josh Childress...

It's a bunch of idiots running that thing lately. They don't know what they want to do or who they want to be.

Sarver is a joke, but this trade was a good one. Getting out of Turkoglu's contract is a damn godsend for the Suns. Plus Gortat should do well.

Now about Childress. . .

Gortat makes about 4-5 mil less a year then Hedo.  And Vince 18 mil expiring is 4 mil more then J-Rich's expiring.  Yet they add 5 mil in salary next year due to Pietrus.  (unless he opts out)

So uh......How does ANY of that help?  They basically savin about 5 mil a year 2 years from now, after Nash is done and buried.  Oh, and they get an Orlando #1 next year, early to mid 20 range.

About as pointless a deal for a team as I can remember.  So are they giving up on this year and don't care if Vince sits?  Fine, then why keep Nash?  Because he's the face of the team?  What about trying to get better in 1-2 years?  Should you not aquire assests all around?  Nash = brings in additional assets.

It's like they wish to remain in the 8-9 seed range.  You either reload to make a run, or you rebuild to start over.  You don't do both.  Which is what this deal is.

Mike Jordan has NO clue as to what he's doing. The fact that he'd hire Oak is laughable. The only good thing about having Oak on the staff is that it pretty much ensures that the whole team will be scared to cut up. Charlotte is a damn mess. There are no assets aside from Stephen Jackson who would net a decent return if traded. I don't know what they can do at this point. I guess just acquire some expirings and go from there...whatever. As long as Mike is pocketing $ from the CGs, I don't think he really cares about how sorry the Bobcats are. Plus, he's getting $ from them as well.

He stays winning even when losing. Must be nice.

How Tyrus Thomas plays so little minutes is crazy to me (at least this season). He showed a lot of game and good skills/body language in the minutes he got early in the season and seemed to be coming in to his own.

BTW, would Tyreke be a good fit at the 3?
