His advanced stats bear out great, cool. I see no impact he leaves on the game, I really don't. He doesn't play with any physicality and just shoots elbow jumpers all game. Is his role decreased playing next to those 2, sure? and that's exactly why I would try to move him. you can find someone to do his job as it currently stands for a far less the price.

- I've said Rose is the MVP for a while, not LeBron. Why..because LeBron is not playing at the level he was the past 2 years, that's not debatable. for me, disappointing.

- on that note..I mentioned this to CP before, Bron has to have had a 'what if' moment by now with Chicago. he didn't want NY, fine..but Chicago..that was the absolute best basketball move for him. He gets to go to a team that nobody would question his ownership of (Rose was on his way, but even if he has this year next to Bron, a lot of credit would have naturally have gone to Bron). Rose/Bum/LeBron/Boozer/Noah.....that MJ 'shadow' stuff would have started to wear away after Ring #1 and with that cast I don't see how they don't rack up a few. heck, forget about 'bum'..I'm sure by now they could have dumped Deng for a somewhat capable of 2 guard. In 2 years, would you rather have Rose or Wade next to you. Is there that much of a separation right now, even?

- At this rate, Riley will coach again. Spoelstra's at fault for all this? no. but Riley can't keep possibly watching this from the sideline.

- I'll wait to see what Haslem looks like, but at this point..that team is going to be up against it. Especially if they fall to the 3 seed and have to go NY/Chi/Bos/LA to win a title. They won't survive. I noted to CP as well that Bos/Miami better go 100% to get that 1 seed to avoid Chicago. looking like a long shot for Mia now.

On Bosh, he's just a wrong fit for the two of them.  I should have realized that from day 1.  Spoelstra is an exceptional coach as he's shown this season.  I've always said that he's been using Bosh wrong in the system but maybe there's no place for his kind of game.  They used him as a typical PF in the post at the beginning and started out slow and now he's just out of whack staying outside basically.

Bron I think still has that same intensity on the defensive side but I agree, at times he looks very laid back and lazy on offense.  That whole team does.  I still think he's the MVP though.  Slight edge over Rose.  Getting shut down by Hinrich slid him down a little bit.

With Chicago, I think it'd be more of them looking back and saying "Good thing we didn't sign him."  You take any piece away from that team for Bron, especially Deng, and I think you leave them worse off than they are TBH.  I don't think they still afford to give Boozer a contract with Noah/Rose and the bench players though, I could be wrong.  A big part of their success is the defense at that 3 spot.

Haslem coming back, at least you know you have someone who can make a jumper when it counts.

Can Miami really rely on Haslem though? He's missed practically the entire season.

Also, I'm getting why Boston traded away Perkins for Green and New York didn't go after a traditional big now...Miami (specifically Bosh) is not going to punish them down low and they can switch everything on pick and roll situations defensively.

Who's going to take Bosh and that 100 mil contract?

If I was a GM on another squad, you're getting a couple O'Bannens for Bosh and that's it.

Even that's too much.

Here's a few of the things I've been noodling.

Are Bron and Wade going to wear down from minutes if they don't get a solid 8 man rotation down?

Which is why I beleive Boston was perfectly fine getting Green, to HELP wear them down a little.

This is too early, but something I have been wondering.  What if, they play New York first round, knowing there won't be much D against them in that series.  (sorry guys)  But THEN, meet either the Bulls or Celtics in the second round, which would be BRUTAL from a defensive standpoint.  You go 5-6-7 games against a softer D, and then all of a sudden go up against one of the best defenses in the NBA after just 2 or 3 days, and it HURTS you.  It screws your whole rhythm up.  And we have seen, their rhythm is fragile.

Could not agree more with him needing to go to Chicago.  (I was rooting for the Clippers myself.)  But I had Chicago as my 2 pick.  Both have younger cores, and more time.  Wade will be 30 next season already.

Miami doesn't have as much time as they think they do. And as I have asked, Bron is only 26, but that is the oldest 26 ever.  He has WAAAAAAY more games at 26 then Kobe or KG had, and if you go to minutes played, forget it.

He's a beast, but lasting to 30 with X number of minutes is one thing, getting to 30 with XX amount of minutes is another, ya know?

Even if they get the 1, and Orlando gets the 4, that ain't exactly gonna be easy for the Heat either.  No matter what, second, and then third round in the EAST is going to be brutal.  And Miami has to survive both those series, then win against the West to do what is expected of them.   That is some pressure.  And as I said, if they have to play Melo/Amare and Billups in round 1, then we're talkin about 20+ incredibly scrutinized playoff games for these guys.  And forgive me, but I don't exactly see a lot of mental toughness so far from the 3, starting all the way back to the summer when they handled so many things poorly.

This is going to be a bloodbath of media hype in the next 3 months.

he at least brings some toughness. rather have him at 70% than Dampier, Anthony or Z.

I still think there best potential lineup is James/Wade/Miller/Haslem/Bosh. so I give them a tiny bit of a break considering we haven't seen it all year.

..

^ i was wondering the same thing, who takes Bosh if that ever occurs, or what do you get for value? if he gets ousted in Miami he turns into a laughing stock to his peers (if he isn't already) and loses the appeal that an Amare even had with being someone another player might go want to play with.

I'd pay to see Miami/NYK in Round 1 and get to watch that crew walk in to MSG for a game 3. Bosh will piss his capri pants before he gets off the bus.

^Truth.

Real talk - a 1st round draft pick and 3 role players. Bosh makes Varejao's contract look justified.

I think Bosh is still tradeable to the right team...Houston maybe? Luis Scola, Thabeet, Kyle Lowery for Bosh + Chalmers? Something like that maybe?
