He sure did.

I don't know anything about him, either. He's 46th right now.

He's got a few really spazzy shots.

I've only watched a couple of Dolgo's matches, but I respectfully say that he looks like an "annoying" guy to play against. The way he mixes his pace and the different spin really makes it tough for the opponent to get a hold of. Really hard to get the rhythm down, for sure. Then there's his snapping-motion of a serve that throw people off as well. It's a shame he can be quite erratic and inconsistent at times cuz if he improves on that, his unorthodox style can really stump a lot of the top guys.

Anyway, Rafa vs Daveeed right now...
EDIT ~ Rafa left hammy issue. Down a break in the 1st set.  Rafa Slam in jeopardy.

too bad rafa went out this way, glad to see him out though. def did not want him holding all 4 slams at once.

but i give him props for finishing this match out. i fully expected him to retire after the second set. showing respect to ferrer by not retiring

All but over.

No guarantees that Fer could beat a healthy Rafa, but he's certainly played well enough to warrant a W. Certainly would have been a great 5-setter.

Tough break for Rafa... just shows how hard hold 4 slams is.
EDIT ~ And that's that.

No one wants to see a champion go out like that.

Too early for me to catch the match, but I thought Rafa was recovering from some type of virus, not an injured leg? Or was the injury incurred during this match?

Unfortunate to see Rafa go out like that, but he plays a physically grueling game thus making him more prone to injuries. He should be back to 100% by Roland Garros though.

At this point, I think it'll be a toss up on who wins the tourney, but I have a feeling whoever wins the Federer/Djokovic match should have the edge (even though I would like to see Murray win his 1st GS title).

He had a virus/fever a couple of weeks ago in Doha. It only cleared up a couple of days ago, which was why he was sweating so much during his earlier matches. The hamstring/groin injury is believed to have occurred during the 2nd game of today's match (8 deuces!). After that game, he immediately called the trainer and taped it up.

He just had his presser but didn't want to talk about it, saying he didn't want to give the impression that he lost because of the injury, so the specifics aren't 100% clear. Gave all the credit to Ferrer... classy.

i have a feeling this might be a rematch of last years final. I really want fed to win this one so that he would be the only player to win 3 different slams atleast 5 times each

i just hope fed is on his game and serves well, nervous for this match especially since he lost to djok in the USO

Rafa took the L like a G though. He didn't make excuses which so many players do. As for Justine retiring again, I'm surprised but not totally blown away. Mainly because the elbow injury looked really bad when she hurt it last year. I really hope my girl Na Li takes this entire thing, I like her game and I really not a fan of Kim or Caro. Caro's success is an indictment on the women's game (everyone already knows how I feel).
