I knew the numbers were going to be dismal based on the number of posts on this thread alone. It is more active today than it was on May 4th.

No it didn't
His two biggest issues were money and drug testing.

Testing: Manny already agreed
Money: Floyd always claimed he was the bigger draw. Less than 1 million buys for the p4p king and boxing cash cow is not working to his favor. Go ahead and tell me how that works in his favor.

Manny never agreed to the Olympic style testing.
Dont let Bob Arum fool you.

Couldn't the other side just say don't let Mayweather/Golden Boy fool you too?

at this point its a moot point, who knows what was discussed over the past 3 years when they could have fought. im sure hundreds of different forms of contracts stated and did not state different things throughout the process. at the end of the day they didn't fight and it wasn't just for money or drug testing. thats just for the public.

None of us probably know what really goes on behind the scenes. But I think more than anything, Mayweather just doesn't want Arum to make another red cent off him again especially not from the biggest fight in history.

Hasn't Ward been fighting/commentating exclusively on HBO as well?

I was so hyped for Dirrell too  thought he pulled a close one out against Froch, then he beats the hell out of Abraham and now the dude doesn't remember who his doctor is

I thought he had put enough rounds in the bank vs Froch too.

He was overseas and tried to avoid confrontation the last 3 rounds and he lost. so itsn ot like I can even dispute that loss.

Dirrell had begun to show us what he was made of even back then SMH

I never said 50/50, don't know where you got that notion. All I said was 60-40 is less probable when you can't outsell your rival. Getting KO'd has little to do with people wanting to see you fight. Point being, you don't make it a $100 million dollar fight by yourself. Less than 1 million buys proves that.

Blood testing: http://www.boxingnews24.com/2013/05...fight-mayweather-and-well-do-the-blood-tests/
If 60-40 is less probable, what is left? 55/45 or 50/50 right? 60/40 or less is more probable than any other outcome. He is already outselling Pac though. The numbers bear that out. Him being KO'ed has a lot to do with the negotiations. It stands to reason that he won't be the same draw as he was pre-KO. Floyd and Oscar had the biggest PPV event in the history of boxing. Oscar took most the cash. The same is going to happen to Pac if they fight. He will take way less or there will be no fight.

Dirrell should move up to Light Heavyweight to fight Chad Dawson. I want to see who is the bigger scrub mentally.

 It was dead in here. I'm not too surprised at the numbers from the PPV (if true). Robert Guerrero is relatively unknown to the public. The All-Access show was just ok. Like myself, I think most boxing fans were uninterested in the matchup. Hell, I wanted to see the undercards more than the main event.

One prospect I didn't see mentioned was Terrance Crawford. He fought Breidis Prescott in March and thoroughly outclassed him.

Terrance Crawford is a beast. I hope he stays at 135 and cleans out the division before he moves up to 140 though.

This. IF there was a reason Floyd did not want to fight this would be the major reason I believe.

Well Victor Ortiz wasnt a big name in the public eye either, and if I recall he wasn't ranked as high as Guerrero was this time around. I think people were mostly interested in that fight because there was still intrigue for Mayweather vs Pacquiao. It was also more well promoted by HBO.

cbs has more resources than hbo , this was their first huge pay per view in a while

i think they'll step it up in the next fight

Maybe all the attractive ones moved out. *shrugs* like I said I've never been there, just know some people who are from Temecula. But thanks for the heads up, at least I won't be disappointed when I go there.

My friends from San Diego did mention, that our white girls actually have booty in Temecula . There's not much to do there but go to the gym and I guess do farm work .
And yeah, FNF is in Pechanga casino. We've had Gamboa fight there. Mayorga/Forrest 1 was there, Nate Campbell vs Casamayor was there, Nate Campbell vs Robbie Peden was there... And that's why I was a Campbell fan because he always fought there

Ortiz was a far bigger name than Guerrero. It's not even debatable to be honest. People knew who Ortiz was. I'm not saying he was a household name but a lot of people knew who he was. Ortiz was supposed to be the next De La Hoya.

Ortiz was a bigger name than Guerrero. Golden Boy put a lot of investment in Ortiz. Way more than Guerrero. GB was painting Ortiz to be a big star in the sport. Victor Ortiz also held the full WBC title when he fought Mayweather.

Golden Boy did invest a lot in Ortiz, but not many people who didn't follow boxing had any idea who he was. That's how it seemed, maybe they did. I guess a lot of people thought he at least looked physically imposing. *shrugs*

There was barely any promotion for the fight though outside of All Access, and to be honest...HBO has more subscribers than Showtime does.

On top of that, Floyd didn't do his usual amount of press, hell there wasn't even a kickoff press conference. I remember being at the Floyd/Cotto presser at the Apollo, the line to get in was over a block deep.

Floyd has a GUARANTEED amount now, he's doing the least amount of press possible...unless he fights Canelo.

P.S. That 30 Days Of May doc was absolute garbage.

That Khan/Garcia fight was pretty damn good man. This dude Khan was feeling himself OD after those first 2 rounds though lmao

Khan would have won that fight easily had he just fought his usual way. His chin can't make it through wars. He needs to do whatever Tim Bradley does to tighten up that chin. :smh:

Ghost has no fan base and rightfully so.

I feel like Adrien Broner is gonna get Andre Berto'd once he faces some real competition.

Broner has no business fighting guys like Paulie right now in his career. a fight with Paulie should have happened 3-5 fights ago.

Broner should be facing guys like Peterson, Maidana, Matthysse, Alexander, Garcia etc...

Haymon Hype machine is real
