Not going to lie, i am ready for the hype machine for this fight. I am very intrigued. So surprised Floyd agreed to 152lbs. I thought he would try to drain canelo as much as possible. But im sure in negotiations they said $35mil for 150lbs....$40 mil for 152lbs or something like that

I love that people really think floyd must have picked canelo because he knows he can win....this is the fight everyone asked for....this is probably the biggest fight boxing could make (arguable with manny vs floyd i guess) but what more do you want from him? The guy can't win with some of you.

Canelo has scary power...if floyd can keep up the defense i say he wins by UD after 12. I'd love to be a fly on the wall with the money team, really wonder what they might have saw agains Trout that makes them think Floyd has this fight. But man i can't wait to watch it.
I am very surprised he took the fight, even at 152. Yea he can never win with some people. I think if Canelo is smart and goes to the body relentlessly than things might get interesting. I do not think it will be easy work but then again Canelo can not take those long breaks in the middle of rounds. Interesting fight still have PBF winning 8-4.

Agreed

This is what makes it interesting to me. Floyd isn't knocking Canelo out we all know that. That means Canelo has 12 rounds to catch floyd with something big....and see how floyd takes it. Will be a great fight.

How much did you pay?:nerd:

And do you really have to be there for 3 days? What's there to do? Look for Ellie Seckback?

Looks like he got it free. If you use the playercards at casinos regularly and really spend some money, they give free rooms and meals too. My aunt and cousin never pay for their rooms.

I'm there. Caesars Baby!

Gonna find a way to make it to the actual fight.

I looked at Ceasers also. Price for 3 days for a typical 2 bed suite goes for about $500+ which isn't bad at all.

Anybody thats stayed in Vegas major hotels, what's the best one? Price doesn't really matter, I just don't want to stay in some ****** hotel. I'll pay the price to stay at a nice hotel...just gotta talk my girl out of coming with me. hahahaha

I don't think Canelo has a shot to be honest but I'm extremely hyped for this. Very happy Floyd took the fight and I'm pretty damn shocked

Definitely looking forward to this fight. This comes a week a few weeks after me and the family move so we'll be hosting a fight party at the crib for this mos def :pimp:

Exactly Floyd only picks on low level fighter s or old guys at their tail end LOL what a clown. That is why no one but his Fan Boys respect him. He gets no props from boxing afficionados...it also doesnt help he cant knock anyone down. Anyway he finally took on a legit fighter who is not an old geezer. Win or lose Mayweather is a cry baby in my book.

Btw i aint Black, Filipino or Mexican.
Dont feed the trolls people

I'm actually really surprised that Floyd decided to fight someone this big and this young.

He saw the buyrates from the last fight and knew beside Canelo who else is there? Only comp left and he ain't getting any younger, just can't take another year off like before. Plus as much as people talk all this **** about May, he got enough pride that it can be hurt and people refuse to give the man his props. He knows with this fight its gonna shut up ALOT of people. They say he won't fight the best, he won't move up in weight, he ducking. Well he ain't doing any of that.

Plus the payday and PPV buys are gonna be ridiculous. Haven't had a superfight in a long time, this is gonna set the world on fire I'm more than excited, I'm ******g juiced for this fight.

I'm more surprised that Golden Boy is letting Canelo fight May. I thought De La Hoya was adamantly against it before?

I think Showtime pressured Haymon into making it happen. That would be my best guess. Basically they told him find a way to make up for the Guerrero fight or else...

Yea, De La Hoya was against it because he said he didnt think Canelo was ready and Golden Boy prolly wanted to bank a few more undefeated fights before they had him fight Floyd. But now is really the time. Streak Vs Streak, fight is gonna be crazy. Does Showtime do a "24/7" type show? I didnt see it for this last fight. But they would be stupid to not do something for this one.

Cant even front, when he signed the deal with Showtime, I thought he just gonna fight scrubs. In no way did I think he was going to fight Alvarez.

Yeah, its called All Access. Ia actually enjoyed the past one with May - Guerrero.

Or else what?

Al Haymon is powerful and all, but from here on out him and his fighters are with Showtime. So if he is negotiating a deal for any of his other fighters, Showtime is not going to be as cooperative if he doesn't make it up to them.

I hope so, and they probably will. They are gonna build this up as the fight of the century. Watch 50 get back on Money **** to get on the card

I heard Garcia vs Matthysse might be on the undercard of Mayweather vs Canelo.

They actually had one for the last fight? News to me. Must not have been showing the replays very often. Or I just missed it when it was on. That shouldnt be a problem with this fight. Showtime will prolly have a channel dedicated to **** about this fight. Because outside of his next fight being Manny, this is prolly as good as its gonna get for that contract with Showtime.

You know HBO is pissed tho (even tho they got some pretty good Mayweather fights while he was fighting on their PPVs)

Hmm so what about hotel... Is it better to reserve that first, will the rates go up
Yes, reserve your hotel now as rates will definitely go up as others start to reserve rooms in Vegas.  Also, buy your plane ticket as well.
